Fall dishes, outdoor decor, centerpiece idea

Tomorrow I should be finished getting all the Halloween decor put away for another year. Just have to finish the basement. Whew! I've done a few things for Thanksgiving upstairs...including this basket outside my front door:

I got my new pumpkin-themed dishes this week...just need to clear out some cupboard space for them now!

A platter and salad/dessert plates:

And four soup & sandwich sets (pumpkin covered bowls and leaf plates):

I was playing around with my table centerpiece, and this is what's been on the table for awhile. Excuse the fold marks...new dollar store napkins, and someone who doesn't iron here. But I'll wash and dry them before we actually use them as napkins on Thanksgiving, no more marks (I have a leaf runner to use for that meal). :-)

The dishes are all Home & Garden Party...I'm a catalog shopper, and there was this sale... :-)

Now to go clean out some cupboard space.

VERY nice, Jamie. Hope you have lots of fun with them..
I am itching to put away the Fall stuff and start on Cmas..but it is too soon for me.
It is warm out, and usually I am freezing out there putting up the Cmas decs!
    Have fun with your pumpkins!
Hey, how do you have that hung in your bricks??

It's a concrete screw, Kathleen, right in the morter between the bricks. :-) You can sort of see it way up there at the top - it's blue, which is my only complaint. I had my hubby put it firmly up there after the nail that was there when we moved in kept working it's way out. That baby isn't going *anywhere* now - it's deep and solid. I have a propensity for putting heavier things than I should in that basket, so it seemed like a good idea. I just take the basket off and bring it in the house to redo it once a month or so.

I have too much halloween stuff to have out along with the Thanksgiving stuff, so I don't even get my fall/thanksgiving stuff out until the Halloween stuff gets put away (I think there's a picture of my halloween decor in that same basket around here somewhere). I won't be working on Christmas until a week after Thanksgiving or so. :-)

Nice, Jamie. I like that platter especially, very cute.
    Your centerpiece is pretty.
(paint the blue screw grey, LOL, that's what I do)

I decided to put my Fall decor away this weekend. I've lived with the orange long enough and am anxious to get my Xmas out. I usually do so the day after Thanksgiving, but since it took me almost 2 wks last year at my Fibro pace, it was frustratingly slow. So I am going to start a week early and see how far I get. We are having Thanksgiving at son Jason's this year, so my house can be in the middle of a mess. LOL.

    hugs, Karen

That platter and dessert dishes really caught my eye. All your goodies are so nice, and good job on your centerpiece, it's pretty and will still leave room for all the food too. Luvs

Jamie, glad you got your pumpkin dishes, they are terrific! Would love to see a tablescape you do with them. Your centerpiece and ourdoor basket look really festive too. I can't imagine how you have the energy to decorate for Thanksgiving when you did SO MUCH for Halloween (not to mention the putting away!) I just put away all my fall decor last week and now am starting Christmas decor this week. Course, Thanksgiving is done for us here so I don't have the feeling I should still have fall things up.

Thanks all. :-) I'm looking forward to setting up a "pumpkin themed" table for the brunch we're having on Thanksgiving for my parents. I'll switch out the centerpiece to include my large ceramic pumpkin tureen (it matches the little bowls I just got) and the bowls will be serving pieces for that meal. I'll post pictures when I get it all set up.

DD, I really didn't do much decorating. A table in the living room, the fireplace mantle, the front window, and the outdoor basket is all (aside from the dining table, of course). All very minimally done. My thanksgiving stuff fits in three smallish boxes...a far cry from the tubs and boxes for Halloween. You're right, I don't have the energy for much after October! :-)
