What fun gifts did you get?

OK Christmas is over--(sniff sniff). What fun homemade gifts did you receive. I am looking for cute ideas that have little sayings with them. If you didn't receive any such thing, did you give such a thing--remember it is better to give, but it sure is fun to receive (giggle). I can't wait to see your answers. Happy New Year, Deanna

I didn't recvieve anything with a cute saying but I saved these few for future scrapbooking entries...
'Good words are worth much, and cost little.' (George Herbert, 1593-1633)
'A family is a gift forever.'

I did recv a few 'Michaels' gift cards for C'mas! Can't wait to spend them.

I received and adorable snow family statue that my DD hand painted. It will be one of my most special Christmas decorations ever and will next year sit next to the wooden family tree that she hand painted with all of us on it. DH, me,DS,DD,DSIL,DGK's. I love them both. Last year she also made tri fold screen that she painted where each section holds a picture of each of her children..

This isn't homemade but cute. A pair of childrens rubber garden boots. I know it sounds dumb but I had seen them at Target (orange with little rubber flowers glued all over) I think they will be cute sitting in my flower garden with a small leaf plant growing in them (maybe in a pot stuck in there) I'll sit them in a container of water and put an umbrella over the top , on a post of some kind. I have a water pump that is just waiting to be used. The water will be pumped to the top of the umbrella and "rain" down around the little boots.

I had mentioned the boots once last summer, but I sure never expected my DH to get them for me.

He bought lots of other things too but that was probably the most fun one. I can't wait for spring.

I gave several of the little "fun" gifts with sayings. The one most liked was the fish seeds one. My son gave that to a dear friend of ours and he was thrilled, as he is a fishing fanatic. I also used the angel feather poem, for the angel feather ornament. And the weather rock and poem.

    Everyone seemed to enjoy them.

Oh, I did get a thank you card after Christmas with the penny from Heaven poem, which was nice.

My brother & sil found this gift for me - she doesn't craft but loves to go to craft shows in their hometown and has found somed beautiful things to send me! Its a cake pan (sheet cake type) with a solid lid on it. On the lid, the lady had somehow put a lighthouse. It looks like she did it with some kind of dremel ? The whole design is done with tiny holes(hope this is making sense) She also has somehow engraved my whole name on the side of the pan so noone will forget who that pan belongs to if I take it somewhere for a dinner or something. Of course the top of the pan is hunter green just like my kitchen. Also sent me the cutest snowman made out of polymer clay with a bird on his head!! They really put a lot of thought into gifts they send us.

Hubby got 2 cute signs from our grandkids-one says" A Mighty Hunter lives here with the DEAR he bagged"--& the other " If at first you don't succeed , do it the way Gramma told you !! "
A long time friend gave me a cute little fabric snowman-just a gathered ball of fleecy material with a painted toothpick end nose & 2 black button eyes-has a small shovel that says " there's sno fool like an old fool" ( we always try to find each other something related to age-she won the honors this year-her's was cuter than mine-I gave her a little magnet for her frig that said " You know you're getting older when Happy Hour is a nap ".
