can a bathroom sink be on an exterior wall?

Our GC said that the shower head can't be on an exterior wall, which makes total sense. But can sink plumbing be on one? I'm still not 100% satisfied with my bathroom layout, and wanted to see if we could move it to a different wall.

Sink plumbing can be routed in the wall or in the floor. We needed our sink to be on an exterior wall, so we ran the supply plumbing up from floor into the wall behind the sink, with lots of insulation behind it. The drain plumbing is in the wall but since the trap is inside the room, there is no freeze hazard.

We were re-doing a bathroom where the supply lines HAD been run in exterior walls. They had frozen, and we'd had a big mold problem...

To further explain my question - does the plumbing for a sink come from the wall, or up from the floor?

In my bathroom the plumbing comes up from the floor.

I have both sinks and a shower head on an exterior wall, but code differs from area to area.

We just moved our bathroom sink from an interior wall to an exterior wall in our renovation. All the plumbing is in the floor; nothing is in the exterior wall.

We have sinks on exterior walls with the plumbing coming up from the floor.
