Carrara and sky blue bathroom reveal

Since I got so much help from reading gardenweb, I thought I would post a few pictures of our new bathroom (part of an addition) in case anyone else finds it helpful.

Tub: Kohler Villager in Kohler White
Toilet: Penguin (overflow protection already tested by mischievous toddler)
Bidet: Brondell Swash 1000
Vanity: Foremost Gazette 36"
Top: Home Depot's 37" "Carrera white"
Faucets: Toto Vivian in brushed nickel
Fixtures: Restoration Hardware Chatham
Sconces: Restoration Hardware Royale
Medicine Cabinet: Restoration Hardware Astoria
Tile: Daltile Rittenhouse Square in Kohler White for subway, pencil and rail; carrara basketweave accent

Please excuse the photography; I'm not a pro.

Shower niche, using basketweave and the backsplash that came with the vanity top.

    Tub/shower.

Clever to use the vanity backsplash for the bottom of the niche.

Looks great! You decked out that tub- for sure! I am also doing a fixed and handheld - but no rain shower. I can imagine your plumber had fun with that :-) We are doing the swash too and white subway. But ours is still in pieces. Anyway, looks really nice- hope you are loving it!

Love the basketweave accents!! Great job on a small bath, I think they're much harder to pull off than the ones where you need rollerskates to get from A to B.

I noticed you did not tile your ceiling. We are putting in the fixed, handheld and raincan in our master shower. The tileman and GC recommended us to tile the ceiling due to the raincan. I prefer not to, as you have done. How has that worked out for you?

No one suggested tiling the ceiling, and it didn't occur to me.

I guess it might make sense if your ceiling is low and you are very tall, but our ceiling is 8' and I'm 5'0", so I doubt there will be a significant amount of water splashing back to the ceiling.

Now that I think about it, Ceiling splashing only happens to me when I'm wrestling a toddler and the handheld showerhead at the same time, and so far we have all survived without visible mold :). I don't let the kids in this new bathroom after Winnie the Pooh and his friends had that Toilet Adventure.

Our plumber did say that the three part setup was a pain, and I'm not 100% sure it was right (bought the A-AB-B-BC-C valve but only get each operating separately).

Very pretty and serene :) Can you please tell me what size and brand tub you have? And I noticed your bidet seat. What brand is it? I have a Toto Washlet. Would love to put one in DH's bathroom but he'd murderize me if I spent that kind of money on HIM. I've already spent more on just the vanity/counter/faucet/sink than he wanted to spend on the entire remodel...rut ro!
Enjoy the beautiful space you created :)

Lovely and serene. Great design! How do you like the RH sconces? Do they provide sufficient light? They are handsome.

Did your marble top come with the 8" widespread holes pre-drilled or did you order it that way? That's exactly what I want, but I need either a single hole or a 4" spread. I already have the (single) faucet so an 8" spread won't work for me. And I just can't pay $700 for a custom piece (that was my quote).

    Very pretty bath :)

Beautiful! Could you give more details about the flooring?

Tub is the Kohler Villager cast iron, 60" x 32".

Bidet seat is the Brondell Swash 1000. Brondell must be trying to move these because they are on woot dot com about every 2-3 months at a substantial markdown. Love it.

RH sconces are all right, but it's a little tricky to turn the shade which rotates around the bulb to act as a dimmer, so we don't use them as night lights as I thought we might. They do create a pretty pattern on the ceiling.

Deb, the top was pre drilled. I wouldn't compare it to a high quality slab of statuary marble, as I suspect given the price that there is a lot of resin holding this together. But it's pretty and it hasn't etched.

Flooring is a porcelain imitation of bardiglio I bought at Tile America. I can look up the details if you want them! They substitute their own brand names so I'm not sure if you could easily find it elsewhere.

Wow, the tub looks wider than that. thanks for the info on the bidet seat. I'll see what I can find. Again...lovely LOVELY bathroom!

I love it! I am in the planning stage of a bathroom remodel and white, carrara, and light blue are my colors, too. Yours is just perfect. Clean, serene, and classic.
