Glass shower shelves - corner

I'm nearing the end of our master bath addition, and I'm trying to decide on this final detail. The bathroom is traditional, with handmade white subway tiles (Tiberon tiles) in the shower and polished nickel fixtures. I'm now thinking of toiletry storage options.

The guys who fabricated the white marble slab for the tub deck cut a couple of rounded corner shelves for me to use in the shower...but now I think they are too thick and massive-looking.

I've found 1/4" and 3/8" tempered, clear glass corner shelves (they are round on the outside edge, and a total of 12" across. The look is airy and light, and much more pleasing to my eye...

Anyone out there install these, without brackets? My tile installer would sink them right into the tiles (which are handmade and 1/4" thick). Any trouble cleaning/keeping clean? My gut tells me that they would be easier to keep clean than white marble shelves :)
