FireFox dissapears & possible virus.

Every time I leave my computer for a few hours when I return FF is gone. Anything else I have on is still there so I don't think it is rebooting.

I run SuperAntiSpyware every nite so I looked in the quarantine & found:

Trojan.Agent/Gen-MSFfake C:/windows/$NT Servicepackuninstall $MSVCERT.DLL

Is this a Virus? This was put there on 6/20/09. The problem with FF goes back farther than that.

yes that is a bad one there are many variations of the trogan agent.

I would highly recommend you head back to LzD forum and start a new thread there and go through the cleaning process. Tell them the above info.

Go update your malwarebytes program and run the full scan with it also and post that log for them.

First, I'd suggest changing your anti virus suite. Avira or AVG are both free and superior products. If you run OE, you can do an online scan using F-Secure, google their site and then do a search for online scan. Also download malwarebytes (malwarebytes.com) and do a thorough scan.
