cursor hangs up?

I have been playing a lot of cards on the computer. It is new I don't have all the info in hand, but should I guess, the last couple games today, and I am shutting down right now, have been stopped due to hanging up of the cursor, leaving the card(s) just where they are for some reason, and sometimes the cursor itself disappears completely.

I have been unplugging the mouse to get it back going again, but I don't expect to have this issue all the time, every day. The whole shebang is about 6 months old, and I can't see what the problem should/could be.

Would someone have encountered this problem in their ventures into computer land?

Should I be looking for a new mouse?

are you playing a game that is on your pc or an online game? is your mouse an optical or roller ball? I assume since you said you un-plug it that it is not a wireless mouse?
does this happen any other time or just when playing this particular game?

have you tried going into control panel to the mouse settings and adjusting any of your mouse settings?

Folks, will try and answer your questions, I am on wireless, I use a roller ball, and yes, seems as tho it only occurs in this particular game of Spider Solitaire, which was already on the machine. It seems to take place in the upper left hand corner only also. The rest of the screen is fine.
Everything was brand new about 6 months ago, and I don't think I have worn out the Solitaire game?, or do ya think?
Sometimes, it seems I am addicted to playing, especially when I can't sleep, calms me down or something.
Thanks for your responses, am going to try again, and see what happens.
