I know what you mean ! I'm starting to play with beads and there are such endless colors and combinations - my brain is fried ! I make something that looks nice - then I go to thinking it might look better another way. This is supposed to be fun - not stressful !!! I like the green the way it is. I'm not sure about the wire - every bracelet I've ever made I used that nylon coated stainless steel stuff. Maybe Nikkinj will pop in and help you .

oddie I never expect less than beautiful from you at all. You did a great job!! Leave the charm where it's at...it's where I leave all my charms..and adding charms and beaded charms are the way to go. I've put in a link to show you one of mine with charms.
Instead of using gauged crafting wire for your bracelet, go to Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby or Michaels and get flexible beading wire. The brand names will be like Beadalon, Soft-Flex,Accuflex at Michaels and Hobby Lobby...but Wal Mart carries a good basic starter roll of beading wire and I can't remember the name they use. It is in with the beads on a roll hanging,amongst the charms and such.The roll looks like a fishing line roll. It's a coated flexible wire that is made for jewelry. I use it for bookmarks and other projects, I use Soft Flex for my jewelry pieces. When using flexible wire you will need to pick up some crimp beads/tubes. WalMart carries these in start packs that include some pre-cut wire, head and eye pins. This is a great intoductory package. You will need either a crimping tool(again sold at WalMart) or a needle nose pliers for these. Here's an article on crimp beads and then the crimping tool.

OMG ginger your jewelry is beyond words! comming from you I will beleive my bracelet is atleast giveable if thats a word, I will have to run to wal-mart and get the wire you are talking about and the crimping beads, I received with the beads a pair of 3 in 1 jewelry makers tool says it does it all, but I dont see crimping I will check that out also, Thanks so much for all the info, do you make your own beads? and any clay type of beads ? if you do. I am still lost as to how to put it all together what beads with what beads, but guess that will come in time. I looked at your page at your other bracelets and all I can say is OMG! I know where to look for inspiration!

I don't make my own beads, not yet but lampwork is on my to do list that is for sure. I have never attempted polymer not srue I'm patient enough for either just yet. I buy most of my lampwork from independant artist on eBay because of the variety and the opportunity to buy unique one of kind pieces. I buy what I like and what is reasonable priced as well. I love a good Michael's sale too.

I'm an information junkie so I subscribe and buy tons of magazines for more information and inspiration. I always watched the Jewelry Making show on DIYNetwork to learn a lot of techniques and such. There are also some great places on the web now with basic lessons and information. Just typing a phrase into google can find you a ton of stuff.

If you want to see some very pretty work and be inspired go to eBay and in search type in lampwork bracelet and watch what pulls up..of course there is some junk and production line made items there as well, but also some fabulous independant jewelry designers.

I can hardly wait to see more of your work!!

Thanks so much Ginger for all your help and inspiration! i ran to wal-mart and picked up the wire and crimp beads and redid my bracelet, that wire makes all the difference, I am in need of new glasses and will have to get them before I try much more I think my eyes are still crossed! I looked on e-bay and of course there are some beautiful jewelry but I seen nothing I liked better then yours, I looked at all 120 of your photos! do you have a web site where you sell your line of jewelry ? my dsd loves jewelry and has a birthday comming up, she the one who purchased the beads for me, would love to make one of those name bracelets for her daughter (my gd) she is fascinated by some of my glassware and I know she would love the colors in the beads. if I make something worth posting I will show you, thanks agine for all your help!

I was going to set up a website for my jewelry but because I an human and most everything is one of a kind the maintence and upkeep of a website could get outrageous.
I do sale some on eBay under honeysuckleridge but have just had a year end clearance sale so my regular stock is low while I build up my Valentine inventory.
Oh the name bracelets are so easy...just basic stringing. I buy my letters from www.artbeads.com along with my Swarovski crystals/pearls...with them you do not have to buy in bulk and the shipping is always free. You can also pick up a cute granddaughter charm from them as well.
I'll be happy to help anyway I can and I'm sure Nikki will be around to help as well!

Ginger, I looked on e-bay for your jewelry doing a search for your name all that came up was a pair of earrings, althoe they were very beautiful, I would like a bracelet for my sd B-day, would you mind letting me know when you have restocked and a link to your jewelry, I have never used e-bay , but my dd has and she would help me with the buying part, also wanted to ask if you dont mind telling me what price range does you bracelets sell for ? I tried looking at others for prices but I sure could not tell what the sellers were getting. Thanks sweetie!! Right now I'm working on Valentine stock which will go up Sunday evening.
My bracelets with names/birthstones, start at $25 dollars(5 letters or less, for more than 5 letters add a dollar per extra letter). I use all sterling silver, Swarovski crytals and top end materials. They come gift boxed ready to give. They are all custom orders.
Other general bracelets and sets w/ earrings can start at as low at $10 dollars and run into the $100's depending on the materials I use. I found generally everything sales well in the 25-50 range it's affordable for working folks and for gift giving. It gives a very nice quality one of a kind set of jewelry for the money.
