IE Add-On message help please

Hi,

Using XP IE 7

Recently while at a childrens website we've gotten this message:

IE has encountered a problem with an add-on and needs to close. The following add-on was running when the problem occured. Flash 9d.ocx

What does this mean? Why all of a sudden a problem and most importantly for the children here, what is the fix if any? Thank you.

I read just today that Adobe has issued an update to Flash player to take care of a number of security flaws. The latest version now is 9.0.115.0. It can be found at Adobe's web site with installation instructions. Maybe this will remedy your problem.

    Hi,
I am still experiencing this problem. Before I go to the website for newer version I wanted to ask if I need to remove the existing one? If so where is it so I can uninstall? Thanks.

Probably want to unistall Flash before reinstalling to maximize you chances of fixing anything wrong .. uninstaller program is here...

I occasionally get the something must close because of Flash9 too... On both Vista and XP.
    Never could fix it.

Here is a link that might be useful: Adobe uninstaller
