Judie, when I was a teenager, several people told me I looked like Ali MacGraw. She's much older than me (she's older than my mother), so she wouldn't be able to play me LOL. That's the only famous person I've ever been told that I looked like (I no longer see any resemblance).

It's funny, I was thinking about this topic recently. I think that the Newt/Brad thing got me thinking aobut it.
Anyway, I've been told that I resemble Rachel Ward, Sela Ward and Shania Twain. All of which is very flattering to me, and not so much to those lovely actresses. ;)

Jennifer Garner, although when I was in my late teens and early twenties people used to come up to me a lot and tell me I looked like (a young) Jane Fonda. That always made me embarrassed because I thought they were especially looking at my you-know-whats ;^D

Hmmm...I used to be told that I resembled Melanie Griffith (in her Working Girl days) or Farrah Fawcett. But that was when I was in my 20's & early 30's. Today? Haha...Kathy Bates! hahaha.

I don't have an actress doppleganger, but if I were to choose an actress to play me I'd choose Helen Mirren simply because I'd be so honored. She is amazing (and we're close in age).

We played this game at lunch the other day, and my answer was Sandra Bullock. I'll stick with her.

I've been told I look like Parker Posey or Liv Tyler. But if they don't hurry up and make the movie, it might have to be Kathy Bates.

Catherine Deneuve, if I had the choice and not that I would ever say I look like her, but sure would like to.

I used to get Andie McDowell or Elizabeth McGovern. But I don't think either of them would agree to play me in my current form!!

Meryl Streep is such a chameleon she could probably play any one of us.

Jodie Foster...I've been told that we really look alike, which I could have agreed with until menopause hit and I gained 20 lbs...I looked like the half-Armenian version of her : ) and she even went to the school I went to, unfortunately after I'd transferred out of it, but still...

But there's NO WAY I'd let Mel Gibson co-star.

Meryl Streep. Over the years, I have had people ask for my autograph, I've been followed and even photographed, and one crazy lady stalked me through a museum, angrily insisting that I was Ms. Streep. Even our voices are eerily similar. It's enough of a taste of fandom to make me grateful to be an anonymous citizen. People do get crazy and invasive.

Of course, I don't have Streep's sense of style, not a shred of her talent, and only a fraction of her income--alas. She is older than I am, so I'm curious to see how she ages, and whether the similarity will hold.

I was in NYC recently and saw Goldie Hawn (with Kurt Russell) but now I think maybe it was nancybee. I would have said hey, had I known it was nancybee.

In my youth and when my hair was shorter, I was told there was a slight resemblance to Meg Ryan.

When I was in my 20s I was often told I looked like Valerie Bertinelli. I just googled images of her and I'm shocked because she looks like my 25 yr old DD!

The problem with having Meryl play any of us (a girl can dream), is many people would go to see the movie because she's in it and then they would find out how boring our lives can be. If anyone can do it, Meryl can make sitting at a computer & typing messages to the GW interesting.

I get Julie Delpy all the time (had to include a pic, because I'm not sure anyone knows who she is!) I guess I see it a *little* bit. Eh, could be worse.
