Good morning fellow "losers"!!

I'm down, yay!! I think I'm going to make my mini-goal of 130 by Thanksgiving. So super excited. I hope everyone had a good weekend and a good start to their week. It was nice to have an extra hour of sleep this morning :)

Good morning Silversword, I missed you last week, I hope this means you are feeling better. It seems like the busy Holidays are already effecting forum check-ins, there seems to be less activity on a lot of forums.

Congratulations on the decrease!! I'll weigh in tomorrow, Thursday. It's 2:37 am SJV Time and I just can't sleep, so I thought I would check on you. l.marie

Hi, silversword. Glad to see you here and do really hope you are feeling better.

I weighed this morning and am not a bit suprised, but a bit disappointed. I shouldn't be though, as I didn't gain. I held my own
    start 192
    Goal 145
    present 147 and 1/2
    amount lost 44 and 1/2

blitzblond, glad to see you here, too.

I don't know how to post that 1/2 so it looks right, beside the other number. Does someone want to tell me how to do that? There is no " insert" option here, that I can find.

    Have a good day everyone

Okay, here goes. I have changed jobs and now sit at a desk for 8 hours a day. Need to get back to my pre-marriage weight of 150. Was at 195 last week and with starting to watch portions and what I eat, am currently at 190. Goal would be 150-160. I try to exercise daily, been doing the elliptical at the local Y for 30 minutes before heading to work and it seems to help. So to sum it all up:

    Start 195
    Goal 150
    Present 190

Hi Blitzy... thanks for the well wishes. What are you doing up so late? What is SJV time?

Hi Iva, I'd just use a .5 for half... 44.5? It might be a plateau, right? I figure as long as I'm not going up, it's all GOOD!!

Hi Powertool! Welcome :) Desk jobs can really assist in packing on the pounds, can't they? I do a lot of cardio too, it really helps to lose the weight and is easy on the joints. Then I lift some weights for toning. And of course, try to eat only "good" carbs, protein and veggies. Revising my idea of a "treat" is the hardest. Last night I wanted ice cream but I made a banana protein shake instead. And then only drank half. It sated my need for sweet.

Happy Veteran's day everyone! Thank a veteran!

I don't know why but yesterday was my brain didn't function very well and I couldn't remember NOTHING, including to weigh-in.

The med clinic i go to is constantly changing "Student Dr." on me. My medical issues have gotten out of hand, so the current Dr. advised me to start taking Flax-seed oil to lower my cholesterol and "...it might help reach a better body weight.." I lost 7lbs in two weeks last visit and now I'm down 7 lbs again.

Started 230 then went up to 233, that's when the Dr. got grouchy.

    started/ current/ Goal.

WELCOME powertoolgeek!!! I thought that was a new friend when I read that name, but I just started in these forums in Sept so I wasn't sure. Then I read silverswords welcome. Congratulations for taking the step to sign on here. I think it always helps to tell someone.

Silversword: I just couldn't sleep, I guess that happens sometimes. SJV (San Joaquin Valley) time is more familiar as Pacific Standard Time, I forget not everyone is use to SJV. This valley has less the .25 of the population of San Fransisco OR Los Angeles OR San Diego, but we produce as much Tax income for the state as two of them combined. Agriculture. We have a hard time identifying with the "Big City folks" or the "Terribly-crazy party Folks" in the beach towns.

I like to thank my DSIL too, I figure if DB served 23 years USAF, she did too. Baby bro. served his 2years in the Army

    Take care all, l.marie

"I like to thank my DSIL too, I figure if DB served 23 years USAF, she did too. Baby bro. served his 2years in the Army"

    I agree!!

I live in San Diego County, but we are not either Big City nor Party Folks :)

Flax seeds are yummy. They're great on salads or anything else... baking with ground flax seeds is great too.

    7lbs... you're a super-loser ;)

Can you share how you make your banana protein shake? That sounds yummy. I love bananas
I do eat ice milk as a treat. It is good and not that many calories. I like it as well as ice cream and get butterscoth ripple.
