How do you get grout dust off of tiles and flooring?

We had a bathroom re-grouted and the contractor left us with a mess. There is a white powder on our bathroom floor and also on the laminate in the rooms leading to the bathroom. I have mopped twice and the powder is still present. What is the easiest and most effective method to clean up this mess?

Just powder? Use a shop vac and then a well rung-out sponge. Finally, buff with a microfibre cloth.

The easiest way is to call the contractor and tell him that you're holding his final check until he cleans up his worksite.

Seriously, a good tile guy will not leave grout haze behind.

White vinegar on a sponge, wrung dry; buff floor dry with clean microfiber.
