I love the look of the distressed Levitts furniture set the best but the top drawers are lined in felt with the glue having a smell. I am very sensitive to chemicals so I worry. I also noticed some unsealed particle board on the nightstands that since they had been sitting in the show room awhile had no smell but a new set may have a smell. If the top drawers were not lined with glued on velvet type of material for delicates, I would be happy since the other drawers appeared solid with no smell.

The Ethan Allan set's nightstands are made so well and are really solid but the back of the triple dresser is that cardboard like Levitts uses. The cotton color is so pretty and matches their kidz armoire in Vanilla that looks like a pretty adult Armoire but is more my height since I am very petite.

The Bassetts Terrace Collection is very pretty also but their chest of drawers has a cedar drawer and I wonder if that would bother me. The color is very nice and the pieces look solid and sturdier than the drawers on the Levitts set when I took them out to inspect. The back has the cardboard.

I am allergic to particle board since the outgassing of formaldehyde really bothers my allergies so I have to have mostly all wood or at least not have any smell coming from the set by having it be totally sealed and mostly all solid wood.
