I just received mine this week. I love it. I cant attest to the quality of the platform...but it looked stable. The platform foundation is solid wood planks, as far as I can tell. and I purchased a memory foam from costco. I have slept like a baby the last two days. the quality of the bed seems good. The delivery guys were okay. They were'nt kids but I think that depends on where you live and probably luck.
B BTW: my mattress is a lot thicker than the one shown in the 1st. pic.

Thanks for responding Designer Challenged. I'm assuming you are talking about the Valencia Bed right? If so I'm so glad you like it. When you say the foundation is solid wood planks - how many planks are there? also is yours a King or queen? Does it have a support beam down the center? I'm just curious because when I call PB about these questions, they can't really answer me too well. they are just reading from the magazine. I even called a store and they again aren't real clear. I don't live near any PB stores so I can't really go see.
