Need advice about hiding wires in the street view of my beach house
Comments (8)You cannot plant anything on front of them and if you did they would have to trim it down to keep the wires free . Follow Ironwood Builders advise if you can . If this cannot be done then get a Mosaic film to cover the window you will still get the sunlight in the house plus privacy ,plus a better view . http://www.google.com/search?q=mosaic+plastic+window+film&rlz=1C1CHMD_enCA371CA371&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=j_MoUfusBNGsqAGRtIC4Bg&biw=991&bih=702&sei=kvMoUYm0HIezqQH_sIGACQ#imgrc=0TwGtKSDQGAyaM%3A%3B5crTKxpMzI3hIM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fimg2.targetimg2.com%252Fwcsstore%252FTargetSAS%252F%252Fimg%252Fp%252F10%252F58%252F10589314.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.target.com%252Ftdir%252Fp%252Fhome-decor%252F-%252FN-5xtub%252FNao-600%252FNs-bestselling%3B410%3B410...See MoreHow can I attach a garage to my house? Comments (23)If there are multiple switches, I think that would work fine too, especially if there was some indicator so you know that the garage door is open or a window in the door. Can you even have a window in the door to the garage anymore? Not sure, there are really specific codes about doors to garages for fire safety and it sound like this is new construction. So, sounds to me like the electrician put this in the wrong spot, now, the builder doesn't want to pay for them to fix it, the builder shouldn't pay for the drywall repairs, or the electrician to fox it, they should be fixing it for free because they didn't do it right the first time. It's like this...if you hired a plumber to install a faucet and they switched the hot and the cold would you pay them to come back and do it right, or would you expect them to stand by their work and come back and to it the right way?...See MoreGarage door colour
Comments (9)I am sure your project is completed by this time in October 2015. The following would have been suggestions from me to you and it would be interesting to see how you finally decided for finishing the exterior of your home. I would have suggested painting your garage door as the brick color of your house giving unity to your house and enlargeing your curb appeal view. The walkway, steps, and double doors leading to the entry are really nice and is your homes exterior focal point and you should continue to accent this area. It appears you have wiring for sconces on each side of the front porch landing area and you should try to make these sconces a medium to large size. The lighting should be transitional in design. Railings should be added to the front steps and landing area. Paint color for iron railing can be charcoal as your front door or black, finish "flat enamal". I would like to see the drive way in a neutral paver or stamped concrete pattern. The landscaping should accent each side of the house. Perhaps lining the driveway leading to the fence/gate area and plant a tree for height. The shrubbery under the window area needs height with lower plantings in front of this area, perhaps some stone or rock for material interest. End the shrub design under the windows with some height at the end corner of the house. Cordially,...See Moredon_1_2006
