Rave for Crate and Barrel Huntley Woods sofa

The sofa looks dowdy in the catalogue pictures but in reality it is much cooler and less country. The arms are higher relative to the back in reality and it is much deeper. I had a backward sloping sofa so I definitely wanted a stable and level seat this time which is why I looked at chesterfields for their bench seat for so long. This is a decent good value sofa. The back cushions are soft and comfortable but not floppy which I was afraid of. The design seems to cover all the bases. I agonized for years and I want to cry now that it is all over because we should have just gotten this right away

"1-2-3" as my father would say instead of having a bad sofa disrupt our lives. I am just so pleased. Hooray!

I love this sofa. Do you have any photos of it in your room?
    Thanks!

I tried posting pictures on flickr for you but something is wrong with my cookies. I have had this sofa for a few months now and it is still comfortable but we wonder if the faux down is actually real down. The daily extrusions look like feathers to us! :P

We have had our C&B living room set (Sofa, side chair and ottoman + coffee table and side table) for about 6+ years now. Loved the look and feel, until we started getting stuck in the back w feathers. Feathers in the cushions, feathers on the floor (after we pull them out), feathers everywhere. I have to do a daily (if time allows) or monthly trip thru the LR to pull out any new feathers that have started to emerge.

This having been the first sofa that I had ever bought (hubby and I always just got hand-me-downs from family members until we became homeowners and now, quite affluent ones at that), so I had no clue what to look for or questions to ask.

I expect what you "think" are real down feathers, actually are. I cannot wait to get rid of this and get a mid-century modern leather sofa from Design within Reach (DWR.com).

My brother said he'd gladly take the C&B sofa and side chair. Great! He can have them. I HATE them.

I love this sofa, too, and agree with you that the lines are much cleaner and more modern in person than the online photos would suggest. I was wondering if anyone has any further information about the Huntley Woods, like who the manufacturer might be? The description says that it has something called:
    " Flexolator® spring suspension"
and I am baffled as to what that might be.

It was made by McCreary Modern. We bought a Huntley Grand queen sleeper on sale a month ago for $999.

I have this sofa from a few years ago. Not more than 6 months after having it the back had started to sink in. The fabric that supports the back cushions must have stretched. Seems like a terrible design. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or have they fixed the design?

I have also had problems with feathers.
