I am seeking a restaurant supply store - a HUGE one - I mean isles of baking pans in assorted sizes and colors. I need one open to public.

What would you suggest?

I cant find any good ones....

Pat T - Looks like a place I need to check out!

Leel - Yes I was very disappointed last fall (IIRC) when there was a handwritten sign on the Bridge store thanking everyone for their business over the years.

    Trant:
I have someone who knows Arthur Ave. very well.
Ill get back to you on that.

You can Google " Fonte's " in Philly. I've bought a lot of items from them, Pizzelle Bakers, Anise Oil , etc.

They have a List of all the items they sell and can Ship
    anywhere.

The whole length of the Bowery between about Delancey and Canal is like one big restaurant-supply supermarket. There are at least a dozen stores on and around Bowery, where you can find pretty much anything you want.

The link below includes places in all five boroughs, too.

That's sad about the Bridge Co. having to leave Manhattan. I used to work a couple of blocks away when I was in my twenties and Fred Bridge still presided over the place from a high stool, barking at all his ignorant customers (in my case it was true--I was ignorant, but I learned a lot from shopping in his store). I guess time marches on. . . .

I forgot to mention that some of those places are wholesale-only. So it's a good idea to call ahead if there's a specific one you're interested in visiting, to make sure they do retail as well.

Thanks so much for the heads-up on Bridge. I'm just down the street every Monday and I had no idea. Guess where I'm going today!

I went and had fun poking around Bridge. Next time I'll probably order from the Web site for in-store pickup, which is very convenient.

A stone's throw away (Bridge is at 49 Eagle Rock and they are at 29) is another supply store called M and J Frank. That's where I get my plastic buckets for rising dough and storing flour.
