^Why not pick what goes with your existing woodwork or existing light conditions?

Hi, If I remember correctly you were kind enough to respond to one of my other desperate posts in the last few days. Thanks and I'm sorry to be so repetitive.

The furniture I have now is definitely not worth decorating around but I do have a sectional (PB style) with white slipcovers that I plan on keeping. The painted white woodwork is also not worth working around. lol The problem is that I might be either renting or selling in the next year so am looking for something that will appeal to many, not just me. I personally am still stuck on the very dark floors but was told by the realtor, and many others, that this is not a good idea. lol

I do want to mention that I'm so glad that I found this message board and think its absolutely fantastic. There's so much great advice and knowledge, not to mention that I love seeing how beautifully you all renovate and decorate your homes. It's easy to get totally lost for hours on this forum although then nothing else seems to get done. lol
