Attractive people you don't find attractive

The other threads got me thinking, what about people who are considered conventionally attractive but do nothing for you?

Number one on my list for males is Colin Farrell. I just CANNOT stand looking at him.

Antonio Banderas

Jake Gyllenhall

Viggo Mortenson

For females it would be Jennifer Aniston

Megan Fox

Mariah Carey

Denise Richards

Just so I'm clear...attractive like we think they're good looking but their personality seems to lack for whatever reason? Or that most people think are attractive and you don't?

If we're going with #1. My picks are

    Johnny Knoxville

    Megan Fox
    Mariah Carey

I'm thinking personality doesn't enter into it, and this is strictly whether or not we find someone physically attractive. Beauty being in the eye of the beholder, after all.

Brad Pitt really doesn't "send me" the way he does so many other women. Neither does George Clooney, but I think that may have something to do with the fact that DH and I have a rather nutty friend who has a strong physical resemblance to George, and I'm biased in a bad way.

Megan Fox is conventionally beautiful, but I think she looks a little mean. Scarlett Johansen (sp?) is another conventional beauty that I find a bit boring to look at.

I guess I could have put my Angelina Jolie comment on this one.

I mean that you just don't like 'em for whatever reason. I can't put my finger on it, but those I mentioned just make my skin crawl.

Whenever George Clooney opens his mouth I can only think "ashtray breath". Seriously. His voice is such a smoker's voice it's a HUGE turnoff. And his head down all the time? YUCK. I do admire his work, though, just can't get past *him*.

George Clooney, Antonio Banderas, Justin Timberlake, Matt Damon, Matt Dillon, Ashton Kucher, Ben Affleck (Ben A-Flake according to DH).

Kat von D, the Kardashian sisters, Angelina Jolie, Kiera Knightly, Anne Hathaway.

    Pierce Brosnan
    Zac Efron

    Nicole Kidman
    Anne Hathaway

I don't even know who some of those people are! But my list:

Men: Colin Farrell, Jake Gyllenhall, Viggo Mortenson (though I liked him in LOTR), Justin Timberlake, Matt Damon, Matt Dillon, Ashton Kucher, Ben Affleck, Robert Downey Jr., Charlie Sheen (now his dad is good-looking, so's his brother, what happened to him? Maybe it is his personality that turns me off), Chris Noth

Women: Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mariah Carey, Demi Moore, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Christina Aguilera, Kiera Knightly (put some meat on your bones girl!)

Ajsmama - Yeah, I'd like to give Kiera a cheeseburger.

Agree about Pierce Brosnan and Zac Efron.

LOL ajsmama! I wasn't going to admit (until you did) that I don't know some of the peeps mentioned! I am waaaaaaay out of the loop when it comes to tv/movies.

Men: Ashton Kucher (to me, he looks like a slobby teenager who refuses to grow up); Justin Timberlake; Charlie Sheen (and, you're right, his dad is STILL gorgeous!), Zac Efron

Gals: Mariah Carey (she looks over blown/over done to me); Jennifer Lopez, for the same reasons

I agree about Ashton Kutcher. (In fact, once I heard a comedian refer to him as Ashton Doucher, and now I just can't think of him by any other name. ;-))

I don't understand why Pamela Anderson has been considered sexy for the last 15 years anyway. She was cute on "Home Improvement" but once she went under the knife it was all downhill. I find her physically repellant.

The guy that won the oscar for Ray, eck. Can't remember his name. (So self absorbed)
Mathew McConahann (If he is on a late night talk show I have to change the station. This man is so full of himself it is sickening.

Re Pamela Anderson - three words: Huge. Fake. Boobies.

(Some men dig that, I hear. ;-))

    Tory Spelling

    Mariah Carey

    Paul McCartney

    John Travola

OH yes, Matthew McConaghey (or however you spell it). I never understood that at all.

I have to say I never understood Patrick Swayze until I saw him in a film. I had never seen him actually acting, just in celeb pics and he seemed kind of a joke...now that I've seen Dirty Dancing I have a soft spot in my heart for him. (We've also got The Outsiders waiting)

Keira Knightley -- LOL...DD says the same thing. I don't see a lot of acting ability, just a lot of posing and pouting, but it can't be the H.F.B. syndrome that accounts for her fame :)

The guy that won the oscar for Ray, eck. Can't remember his name.

Jamie Foxx. I agree. I can't stand to watch anything with him in it.
I also have trouble watching any actress with lips that look like balloons. It's all I can focus on when they are onscreen.

Tina - Yeah, I know Cary Grant, Jean Simmons (the actress, not the guy from KISS!), and then the young kids (from Harry Potter and Disney movies), but nobody in between! Shows my age, and the fact that I don't have teenagers yet, *and* we don't have cable!

I loved The West Wing - not just for Martin Sheen, but the whole cast was great, the writing was super, anything like that on TV any more? Actually, I caught The Good Wife last week, that looks pretty good but I'm getting a little tired of legal shows.

Oh, that reminds me - Mariska Hargity is really attractive, though I wouldn't consider her a classic beauty. Oops, that's the other thread!

Fabio and Pamela Anderson are my top picks for men and women.

    >Tory Spelling

I place Tori Spelling firmly in the Nepotism Rules category. Frankly, I think she is a homely, unattractive woman who is a celebrity ONLY due to having been allowed on a tv show her famous father produced.

The other poster child for this category IMO is Rumer Willis, Bruce and Demi's daughter. That girl has close set beady eyes, a pursed little mouth, a Jay Leno-level prominent chin, and to top if all off the chopped off haircut is unfortunate in the extreme. She clearly has unlimited funds to work with so the body and clothing is usually spiffy. But oh that face! I am 1000% convinced that if she didn't have a famous parents, one of whom is the most gorgeous women in Hollywood, she would never in a million years be getting any paparazzi attention. She has not done any notable acting, nor anything notable in any venue for that matter.

Here is a link that might be useful: Rumer Willis

I actually feel sorry for Rumer. She most definitely got shorted in the looks department, taking after her daddy instead of her gorgeous mom. That said, I see no reason for her to be considered a "celebrity" and until she proves herself otherwise, she's just another Hollywood brat hanger-on wannabe.

Regarding Rumer, either her head is too large or all her facial features are too small . . . or both! I had a friend once who she reminds me of. This gal started off looking very normal, but had her nose redone so small that it threw everything else on her face "off". She ended up with a face like Rumer's: too big for those small eyes, mouth and (now) nose!
THAT was Pamela Anderson on "Home Improvement"??? OMG, I had no idea! She's waaaaay too overblown ~ and underdressed~ as far as I'm concerned!
Someone mentioned Matthew McConaughey. I'm right there with you. I think he's good looking, but everytime I see the guy, all I can think of is that he is soooo in love with himself and is always looking for an excuse to take off his shirt! I just don't like the guy because of it.

Women: Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Pamela Anderson, Tori Spelling

Men: Matt Damon, Justin Timberlake, George Clooney

Definitely Justin Timberlake (why is he even considered attractive?)

And for women, Pamela Anderson - a caricature!

Women: Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johanson, Mariah Carey, Madonna, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tori Spelling, Kristin Dunst (ugh she is so ugly to me), Alicia Silverstone, Jessica and Ashley Simpson (esp before the nose job)

Men: Justin Timberlake, George Clooney, Ashton Kutcher, Jonas brothers (my dd likes them and I can't understand why), Nicholas Cage, Nick Lachey, Tom Brady

I agree with so many of the people cited in the previous posts. I have to add Prince William. I really don't get it. His teeth are enormous horsey things and he's always referred to as the handsome prince, the one that looks so much like his mother. I don't think so. Prince Harry on the other hand, mischievous smile - absolutely yummy.
