Bosch Nexxt 500 Series Gas Dryer

I have had my 500 series Bosch 500 Washer & Dryer for about 3 weeks now. The washer is terrific; although it does take much longer for each load to wash. My problem is with the dryer. At first, I remember it would dry my clothes thru a full cycle. Recently, the lint filter light goes on even though it does not need emptying. If I put laundry in the dryer & leave the house, I'll come back hours later & it will still be damp and the lint light is flashing. But the lint filter is not full! I can't stay home to babysit this dryer. The repairman was here once to say when I use dryer sheets there is a white build up on the screen (finer than other dryers) and I have to rinse it every 2-3 loads. I have done that to no avail. I washed it, dried it & put a load it and 20 minutes later it stops and the lint light is again blinking. This is so madening. Anyone else have this issue? I am calling the repairman again!

The lint filter light will also light up and the dryer will shut down if your dryer vent line is clogged. Lot's of people have had this issue, solved by clearing the vent line. The dryer is doing what it is designed to do - shutting down and letting you know there is a problem rather than continuing to run and burning itself out or starting a fire. You will be amazed at the amount of lint that will come out of your dryer vent.

    Agee with above.

Nothing is wrong with your dryer.
Please check your care & use manual. You will find the blinking lint filter light is not an error code but just a simple reminder to check the lint filter. The light will blink whenever the machine is first turned on and again when the machine turns off. The light will also blink whenever the door is opened stopping the dryer.
As I said it is supposed to be just a gentle reminder to check your filter and is not hooked up to any sensors.

Thanks all for your input; checked the dryer vent line and it is 100% clean & clear. Repairman coming tomorrow; I'll let you know. The first week the dryer worked fine, in fact beeped when the time was up. I have not heard it beep since because of lint light. I also needed a new light bulb after one week. Hope I just don't have a lemon.

Turns out the timed choices on the dryer work fine. It's just the other ones that have the problem. They are coming next week to fix it.

I have the same problem like you but my dryer is Nexxt 500 the Electric version.
The lint light flashes when after 20 minutes but the filter is clean. And the machine will stop drying. I cheked the vent line and is all clear. The dryer is 3 weeks old. I was sure I'm taking the best choise ever buying Bosch and now I am not so sure.
I am curious if you solved your problem and how, the technician is coming tomorrow.
    Thank you

OK, Ditto on the flashing light problem. I've posted on this forum about how much I love my 800 series but I too am a little frustrated with the problem. HOWEVER, I have found that it only happens when I use the Eco cycles. It works fine with the regular cycle - ran for 40 minutes, non-stop. Please poset what the technician says. I'm curious and wondering whether I should call the technician too.

    Thanks.

I have the same problem as Chrystne and am very frustrated. I have cleaned the lines the best I can, washed the lint filter, etc. I can't for the life of me figure out where the lint could be unless there is hidden spot between the lint filter and the back of the dryer that holds lint. I am ready to scream.

Has anyone found a resolution to this? We have had one of these 500 series dryers for a number of years now. Over the last two years or so, we've had errors (shut down with a flashing code, not just a reminder).

We have a short, straight run of duct, not corregated hose, and it is completely clear and the air flows well out of the house. The filter is clear and we minimize our use of dryer sheets. We do vacuum into the depths of where the lint filter inserts, because there does tend to get to be some buildup in there (very hard to remove). But even with a clean and well-flowing dryer, we still have issues.

Is there an updated sensor or controller that can help?
