Send a Christmas card to 5 year old Noah who has cancer. . .

Someone just sent this to me about a little boy who's dying of cancer. His family is celebrating Christmas early for him and he asked for a bunch of cards. An address is listed to send to. I read his story on Snopes (a link that's in the below link) and they already did their celebration and the address is different if you want to still send a card.

Maybe some of you already heard of this little boy but I wanted to share.

I'm planning on putting a card in the mail tonight but what on earth do you write to a 5 year old boy you don't know that's not in good health. :(

I guess picking a fun, cheery card and wishing him a Merry Christmas is the way to go.

    .."is the way to go."

I should've said, "is the best type of card to send!" I didn't realize how that sounded.

Here's the link to his Carepages. It looks like he's received thousands and thousands of cards already which is awesome. Cute little guy.

Yes, last I read he had over 80,000 cards; tons of gifts. I read about him on the 2nd day, then again the other day when his mom changed the mailing address to his fathers house; so I'm not sure if Noah will even see the newest cards.

I follow a blog with a little 5 year old with brain cancer. Her mom is doing something similar but it hasn't been as widely published yet.

She is getting a donation for the whole pediatric floor and asks others to consider donating to your local pediatric cancer center.

Kate is going to be on the Dr Phil show; the date has not been announced yet

I'm sorry if I don't sound happy, because I am. I think it's great that this little boy is getting the attention.. What I've wanted to read was an update from the mother asking people to send it to other cancer children. At what point will she say his dream/wish has been fulfilled and to make another child as equally happy?

This is what I read yesterday -

    Hello Everyone!

We received 80,000 pieces of mail on Monday alone! We even
received mail today on Veteran's Day! Yes, the Post Office is
closed today, yet, we still got mail!

My gargage is so full that we asking for everyone to please send all communications to Noah's father's house.

Everything should go to the following:

    Scott Biorkman
    3480 Petoskey Way
    Milford, Michigan 48380

Please post on all Facebook accounts the address change. I literally don't have any more room.

Nov 9 Our friends and family have repeatedly asked us for something to do to help. Asking for a Christmas card was something simple that many people could do. They posted it on Facebook and BAMMMMM!!!!!!! Next thing I know, we are receiving thousands of cards and packages. Tuesday -- 64, Wednesday -- 416, Thursday -- 2,600, Friday -- 5,100 and Saturday -- ??????? At least 10,000. Yes, you read that right -- at least 10,000.

It's a loving gesture by so many, but (my ever-increasing curmedgeonly ways showing here) I can't help but think that the postal workers probably don't find it all that endearing.

Poor little child, though. I cannot fathom how terrible it would be to have a child with a terminal disease.

"At what point will she say his dream/wish has been fulfilled and to make another child as equally happy?"

It would be nice if his parents would suggest that to him but I'm sure their minds are focused on a lot of other things right now.

I'm sure the post office is about tired of it though.

I had my daughters make him some cards a couple of weeks ago.
My heart goes out to his family.

Please read all of the Snopes page which says that the family is asking people NOT to send any more cards.

Not sure what happened. I hit the back button after reading the post and my last message reposted.

I was going to post that I'm signed up on his carepages and still haven't gotten the email for his latest update.

I hope his family is able to have peace right now.
The last thing they need is more stress.

When I first posted this I didn't realized his family received 80,000. Got into his carepages after. That's a huuuge number. I'm sure it's very overwhelming. I didn't send a card *hanging head*. I feel crummy since I said I was going to but with that many and after reading how stressed they are I left it go.

I hope they can spend their remaining time with him in peace like you said Roselvr.

After a long battle with Stage IV Neruorblastoma cancer, Monday morning at 8:02 AM, Noah Biorkman passed away at his home in South Lyon, Michigan.

Scott and I, along with our families, would like to thank everyone for the continued support over the past few years during NoahÂs illness. As most of you know, Noah has received more than one million Christmas cards over the past few weeks. The outpouring of love and compassion has been remarkable and we are extremely grateful. We are now asking for everyone please respect our privacy during this very difficult time. The funeral services will be for family only. We are asking that instead of sending cards and flowers to Scott and me; please make a donation in NoahÂs name to either of the organizations below. With your donation, NoahÂs legacy will live on for many years to come, if not forever.

Thank you so much for your support and love.

    Sincerely,
    The Biorkman Family
