Canada lost one their top skiers when Sarah Burke passes away after her crash on a ski run. She was expected to compete and win Gold in the next Olympics. Beautiful gal!

She died? Oh, no. I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad. I feel so bad for her husband and family and friends. Those half-pipe events are so dangerous, the edge of it especially.

I figured it was pretty bad, because I think at one point the family was going to make a statement and then they didn't. So sad :(

Tragedy indeed; makes you ponder that fact that some sports do have extreme risks, even the better athletes are at risk and accidents can happen.

I do send my condoleances to her family and friends, she will be missed.

I just watched a video of Sara and her husband Rory talking about their love for each other and love of skiing and all that encompasses.

My heart goes out to their families and fans for such a devastating loss.

What a shame. I didn't really think the danger in that sport. All my best to her loved ones.
