Need help to buy Stainless Steel kitchen sink of dimensions 43" by 22"
Comments (13)Okay, can you tell why you're replacing it? It appears to be an installation up against a window, with no wall for the back of part of the sink structure to butt up to and what looks like an inch of counter top material for the sink to attach to at the rear, and all new faucets etc......I have concerns that the sliver of countertop behind the sink will survive, depending on how this sink is installed. Are you planning to replace countertop material too? I had already gone thru the build.com resource as soberg suggested, and there are several sinks that will be close to fitting this opening. Selection is personal based on your needs - are you looking for two sinks? A different configuration of three? Or - are you replacing this just because the finish is aged? If you like the sink and just want it to look new, I suggest you call a few companies that do tub refinishing. The existing looks like enameled cast iron andcan be refinished. Get the companies to quote refinishing your sink. It can stay in place; you can have another color for the final coating. If you go this route, really question each company's materials and most importantly their preparation! You may have to change how you maintain the sink afterwards as that impacts how long and how well the finish lasts. If you're a DIYer....it is possible to refinish yourself, but I have no experience with that. Except to say - prep, prep, prep. And if you are going to change out yourself - look at how this one is installed and study how to take it apart. Hope this helps...See MoreUpkeep with stainless steel kitchen sink?? help me make a decision.
Comments (4)Me either...however after reading the comments at the bottom of this post: https://www.houzz.com/magazine/kitchen-sinks-stainless-steel-shines-for-affordability-and-strength-stsetivw-vs~7435983 I got very concerned over the upkeep...I currently have an old builder spec stainless sink...and...I don't care about water spots or scratches...it's sink..made for water..and spots. I'm just not that person that has a perfect sink...it occasionally happens.. :) but definitely not daily. Trying not to overthink it, but don't want to be dissatisfied either....See MoreNeed help deciding on stainless steel sink and faucet for new kitchen
Comments (2)Google each of your selections with the terms 'reviews' and 'complaints' and see what you find. These types of questions seldom get more than one response as they're so specific which is why I recommend googling it. Comments (7)There are dent repair kits for cars...but I know that they leave a SMALL dent behind. And you normally have to take the panel off of the car to work with more severe dents. Again, these still leave a little bit behind. The question becomes how big is the dent? Is it worth going out and finding a dent puller kit at your local self serve auto parts store (Canadian's have Canadian Tire and Princess Auto) only to find out the thing LEFT OVER is what you started out with. Very annoying to spend money only to find out there will be no improvement. A photo might give us a better picture of what this dent looks like....See Morernest44
