Kitchen ct by Bianco Carrara Zodiaq by Dupont

I love marble, but I fear I will have to spend more time worrying about it than I wish. My DH wants me to seriously consider Bianco Carrara Zodiaq by Dupont for our new kitchen countertops. I have a very small sample ( 2 inches sq ) and visited a showroom who had a 12 inch sample. To get a more realistic vision of this product, has anyone put it in their home, and if so can they upload a photo? I would love to hear anyone's opinion on this product as well. Thanks in advance, h

There were some threads back a bit about OKITE which intrigued me greatly. I ran into the same problem- other than a 2 or 4" square sample which the company (think if I have this correct, the company is in Italy, the distributor in the US is in Texas?) sent me free of charge- I was not able to actually see it in real life. Someone on here, I think it was sue in ct? said that it was being distributed by dupont. I too asked at HD and Lowe's and no one knew what I was talking about. This was maybe 2 months ago.
I was just at a fabricator looking at granite. They also have corian etc. I explained that I was not interested in corian because I am looking for the less uniform look. They showed me a gorgeous marble looking top on a table which it turns out was actually the zodiac. I finally realized it is what I have that sample of. It did look very very good, I must say. The only thing I can say is that it is likely going to be in more and more displays within the next few months. If you search on here about okite, that is the same product, but it seems that retailers are not aware of that name.

Okite manufactures it but allows Zodiac to include it in their line. It is available from Zodiac dealers, including Costco. Some dealers may not carry the full line or just may not have samples of all the new colors yet. Ask a dealer if they can find out if they can get the "new Okite colors" and they should be able to find out for you. If necessary, print out the page on the Zodiac website listing the colors of Zodiac avaiable and show it to them. They can get it.

Here is a link that might be useful: Zodiac Okit colors

Sheilaaus122, you have been a great help. I was able to go online and locate a few different websites that had examples of the okite product, pictures of kitchens, etc. We actually found zodiaq/okite thru a granite/marble dealer, as well (HD & Lowes did not have it). Our sales rep said only one other couple came in recently asking about the same product. I think we might be the first in this area (Va. Beach) to actually purchase it. Thanks again for your help! Kindly, H

I was just googling zodiaq and on the dupont site, they ahve samples posted of the newer okite colors. They even refer to them as okite. AND, they have a price estimator!!

LOL, Am I the only one who can see my post here with the link to the Okite colors ON the Zodiac web site? Feeling a little invisible here.

I was just there doing a price estimate for curiosity. Thanks very much, Sue. Sheilaaus, which pattern were you finding gorgeous in person?

How are the prices at Cosco compare to Lowe's?

    Sue,
I was searching on the web and then came back to check up on any new information and wah-lah - your beautiful link! Thanks so much for your help.

Rosie, we are leaning toward the bianco carrara zodiaq/okite. To me it seems to emulate the look of carrara marble - however, marble is in a league all it's own.

Gingerjars, I rcvd a quote for the bianco carrara zodiaq fully installed for $4,730.00 (approx 52 sq feet of countertop) and does not include a 4" backsplash.

    Thanks again to everyone! H

How do you like your Okite counter top? How much more is it compare with granite? Is it NO maintenance?
