We are in the process of finishing our basement and need to choose paint. There is little to no natural light. I want to keep the color fresh and clean to avoid a dark dungeon feeling. Anyone have experience with these Sherwin Williams colors (Mindful Gray or Light French Gray)? I am looking for a color that will go w/ light oatmeal carpet (not gold or brownish). I also don't want the walls to look purple, baby blue, or green (I am eliminating several BM colors--like Nimbus, Gray Owl, Silver Fox because I keep running into this problem)

It will serve as a rec room for our "Tweens" who want a "fun/funky/cool" vibe. I plan on doing some horizontal stripes (lighter and darker shades of same color), and I thought we could add the "fun" in with the decor (beanbags, artwork, throw pillows, area rugs, etc).
