Looks great! I love the red LGs. I'm trying to decide if I should do red or white. Our room is much smaller than yours, so I wonder if the reds will take over the room. I love your pictures...those are great. Did she ever fall asleep up there :o)

What a beautiful laundry room! ...and a beautiful baby. My friends here at work all think she is cute too. One of my co-worker's says it's a myth about sleeping babies on the dryer. She said she tried it with her twins 16 years ago...LOL

onedog3cats, I gotta tell you...I LOVE my red machines but we went into Best Buy yesterday with a question on our digital camera and we walked past the W/Ds. I had to reach out and touch the white LGs because they just looked so good. DH looked at me and said, "Don't tell me you like them better---you wanted the red for two years!"

I love the red but the white machines do have a fresh, crisp look to them with all the silver/chrome dial accents. I'm sure you'll love whatever you choose!

That is funny fairytalebaby...I just went to HD yesterday to see them in person. The red caught my eye as soon as I headed back to appliances, and I was like a giddy schoolgirl :o) They had them stacked, which I was considering doing, until I realized I couldn't reach the controls on the dryer (I'm only 5' tall). I may try to photoshop them in my room and see how they look. Thanks for sharing...enjoy your reds!!

Your room looks great and the baby is adorable! One question-- how do you lift that Dyson up onto the shelf? That's a heavy sucker! LOL

compumom...my "broom closet" was supposed to go all the way down to the floor but that shelf was yet another miscommunication. By the time it was installed and we arrived at the new house, I was so done asking for things to be fixed or changed.

Now, the dyson...if I can carry the 19 lb baby on my hip all day I can surely lift the dyson for the three seconds it takes to get it up on the shelf! I think the cabinetmakers said that they could notch out that shelf if I really wanted them to...but I kindof liked the bottom storage for my bags and misc bigger items. It works.

Love the space. I have the exact same w/d set. I have to ask where you got the 3 pieces of artwork from and the board with the quote on it??

I've been eyeing those beautiful red LG's for ages! When I finally went to make my purchase last month the titanium color was on closeout, and I saved tons of money by switching color. I waved goodbye to those sleek red beauties , but I must say I'm really happy with my machines! You have great taste!

Very nice. Our new laundry room is nearly the opposite, white washer and dryer (and refrigerator - all Whirlpool) in a red room. Our yellow Dyson conforms, however, as does the dog's cage and stone floor. I guess I should share some photos once the finishing touches (particularly the small pieces of art in similar colors) have been added.

heather, my Mom found the three pieces at TJ Maxx or Marshalls two years ago. I've been compiling my "New House" folder for that long and she thought they were perfect for the LR! The "I do" sign though was crafted by an ebay seller who was great to work with--I'll include her link below.

susan, now that we're in the house (and broke!) I would've swapped colors for a good deal! LOL...they work beautifully and I just love having a new set--indoors!

Forget the washer and dryer, the vacuum storage is pure genius! :-) Does the dryer keep the pup warm in the winter? :-)

Thanks deke...you know, we just moved in two months ago so this will be her first winter in the new house. She is a furry beast so she loves the cold travertine floor in there!

I didn't get a photo of our "vacuum garage" but a lot more shares the space with it, including a stepladder, brooms, and other stuff.

WoW, you ladies are so fortunate to have such wonderful laundry rooms :) They're both beautiful and ROOMY with lots of storage and countertops and and and....(sigh) Sure wish I'd listened to mom (wonder how many times I've said THAT?) when we were building our home (we were 21) and she said "don't you think you'll need/want more space in your laundry room?" It's just wide enough for the washer and dryer :(
ps...baby might fall asleep if she had a pillow :) She's adorable!

Chipshot, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the subway tile on the backsplash. Do you have the same pattern on the floor? What is your floor done in? It is a beautiful laundry room. My guess is that there is a shorter person in the house, hence the vanity height sink? I don't have my washer/dryer on pedesstals either. But, I need to have a countertop made. My laundry room is so tiny that it only fits my washer and dryer.

Who are you calling a lady? LOL, my wife (who is indeed a shorter person) will get a kick out of that one.

We inherited the space when we purchased the house and are fortunate that it's so large. Of course we could use some additional room, but isn't that just about always the case?

Please note that I, a taller person, need a stepladder to reach the upper shelves of the cabinets. Putting the machines on pedestals would have made the countertop too high for me to fold comfortably, and I'm OK with the height of their doors as-is.

The pattern on the floor is similar to the wall tiles, and I believe the material is a simple stone tile purchased from Virginia Tile. It extends all the way to the kitchen, encompassing the back hall, closet, and half-bath.

Apologies for my sideways photos. They weren't that way at the hosting site the last time I checked.

Duets, actually.

WOW those are very very nice laundry rooms. you both are so lucky to have such nice spaces to do the wash. I have an old dungeon like basement in a 100 year old Victorian town home to do my washing in. my washer and dryer are a few feet away from the boiler. at least I don't have the old scary looking boiler like in that movie Home Alone anymore :)

I'm happy to see my photos miraculously righted themselves. I don't know why they took a few days to adjust to what the photo hosting site was displaying.

We like our laundry room a lot. At the risk of being too self-critical I'll share my four wishes for it:
1. That it was located upstairs.
2. A good spot for a fold-down ironing board.
3. More drip-dry capacity.
4. Even more counterspace (IMO can't have too much).

LOL...maybe I should think twice before doing a drive-by post while under the influence of a head cold. I mixed your machines up with another poster, sorry...still love the space!
