Heads Up....GW search down and THS not working well in searches

Just a heads up that...

(1) GW searches aren't working right now...it said I had no posts when I searched on my username...not very likely! :-)

(2) When I searched using Google with "site:ths.gardenweb.com", not many threads were found (different search for a poster here)

(3) However, when I searched using Google with "site:thathomesite.com", a lot more threads were found! (same search as in #2)

Once you get a thread up using #3, you may have to either log in OR replace "www.thathomesite.com" with "ths.gardenweb.com" (everything else in the URL stays the same) to post to it.

yah...I went looking for my gel stain instructions, and the search had nada on my name either....

I wonder if that also why people who google up old threads have had trouble posting to them? Or are they just closed?

OT, I noticed that the Read Me thread is maxed out. I can only imagine how much work it is to generate a new one. Is there any way that multiple people can work on it so that one person doesn't have to do all those links? I can't think of how, but if there is, I'm willing to help!

I just saw your new thread. I should have known you'd be ahead of the game! Thanks so much for staying on top of things here; I know it's a huge amount of work!

Actually, I didn't realize the previous was maxed out until I saw your post...thanks for letting me know!

CelticMoon...if you check the "Read Me" thread you'll notice that I added the gel stain instructions. On an off we have receive quite a few requests for it, so I thought I'd add it.

There's light at the end of the tunnel, one of our GWers asked about setting up a FAQ and iVillage said to check back with them in March...so keep your fingers crossed! (I wonder why no one ever responds to my questions/comments? I've asked at least 2x before and had other questions as well...but I don't think I've ever received a reply...the only time I heard from them was when I got my hands slapped for starting an off-topic post on Discussions!)
