I have lots and lots of Schrock cabinets that are about 6 years old (wheat maple). I have had no problems with them at all.

Mine do not have the bells and whistles they probably have today (full extension drawers, soft close, etc..) but I am happy with them. One pull out in particular has many casserole dishes on it and I am always amazed at all the weight it holds.

If I had to complain about something it would be that my drawers (above the lower cabs) are too shallow.

We are putting in Shrock Toasted Almond with a maple glaze. Price wise I think Kraftmaid may be a little higher but we never compared the two. We went with the KD's suggestion as she knew what our budget was. The painted finish is excellent. Hinges are Blum as well as the drawer slides. Drawers are built solid...dovetail....thick sides. I am not as happy with the overall cabinet construction. Schrock builds their cabinets a little differently than others in terms of how they get hung on the wall. Doesn't seem to be the usual cleat. I've run across at least one thread that has some negative comments regarding Schrock quality but their were also positive comments. I have seen both with Kraftmaid.

I can say that all of our cabinets arrived damage free, no dents, chips or anything else like that. I am satisfied based on the price and we know the company the KD works for stands behind what they recommend although I don't know how much that will help if we do find some problems with construction. I do know that the GC said he had some problems with some cabs not being square and he would adjust to make them perfect.
