it doesnt look like you have room for panels - so my first thought is inside mounted roman shades.

What are you looking for: privacy, light control, dressing the windows?

Hi Graywings. Really just dressing the windows and maybe a tiny bit of light control. We live in the woods so privacy is not an issue at all.

what color roman shades would go well?

It's hard to see from the pic...maybe pick out a solid color from your bedspread.

I would want more softness and would want valances and do an asymmetric treatment by the bed with a single panel on each window pulled to the far side....you can do the same thing in the single window with it pulled to either side....most likely toward the corner though.

So much of this is personal taste. I like fabric covered cornices over windows, but tend to dislike many of the valances I see.

I'm not a fan of a drapery panel on one side of a window because you end up with a lot of exposed rod, but it is commonly done. I was going to suggest pulling the bed away from the wall about 4 inches, and put simple panels on each side of the window, but with the high posts on the bed, it may look cluttered.

The roman shade idea is great, and it looks like you easily have enough space for inside mount. If you plan to keep that bedspread, you could pull your colors from that. Or a neutral sand color would work long after the bedspread is changed out.

I vote for roman shades too. . If you are plaining to keep your bedspread, then do as Annie suggests and pull a color from it. There are nice bamboo ones as well,
You could stay neutral and do a beige texture on texture shade that will have a bit more longevity if you decided to change your spread.

How about bamboo blinds?
