We used a Almond color porcelin 12"x12" tile with a matching grout. Our laundry room has white walls. It looks nice and is easy to care for and doesn't show every spec of dirt.
A little off subject, but we put in slate tiles in the master bath. It looks fantastic, but when you go to mop it, it tears the mops up with the rough texture. It is a very non-slip surface.

We went with an Italian tile by Monocibec. A smooth, low shine 12x12 that's off-white with 10% rose colored veins running through it. The style is called Kent Rosa but I don't see it listed on the Monocibec site. We chose it because it goes well with the capris rose granite counters.

I don't know the exact name of my tile since the builders put it in (new house) but I do recommend that you not go with white, our friend's have white and it's such a pain to clean, it always looks dirty. Go with the off white. We have a lovely mottled beige that with a light chocolate grout (don't do a light grout!) and we love it. 3 dogs, the kid and the husband and let me tell you there's a lot of grunge on these floors every day and it blends fabulously! Even in the laundry room where you'd think that the dirt doesn't get to, well of course it does! I have another friend who went with a french mottled blue beige and a white grout (through his living room and kitchen). His ex-wife would go at the grout with a toothbrush and bleach, swearing the whole time. And he wonders why she left him...

agree with mechellesg in a big way about using colored grout - grey, brown, black, green - whatever - just not white! Sealers will not keep white grout white! I also concur with using high co-efficient friction tile so you don't slip on a wet floor & bust your keister! Tiles with patterns, grains & color will show dirt less - not that you will have a dirty laundry room - but really light floors have an unpleasant way of looking grody - have fun!
