Your photoshop is exactly what I envisioned before even seeing the photo. It works out well as you get to see plenty of fabric, but don't block any of the window.

I plan on having just roller shades underneath the RS, that will not be seen when rolled up.
So you think my placement of the top material is fine the way I have it.

I think it is perfect the way you have it drawn...not an expert on window coverings since I've lived 30 years without any, but I love what you have done with your other windows and think this accomplishes exactly what you want. It will look like a much taller window without losing any of the light or view.

Hi, I love the idea of faux roman shades in the bedroom and I think the height looks great. question, the ones in kitchen and DR did you make or buy? They look great. If you made them can you tell me the pattern you used or if you bought them where from? Thanks

The ones in Kitchen and DR were in the house when purchased. I do know they were made and the fabric is called Burne by Kravet, color 612.

Thanks for your input also. I will be having a seamstress I know come out to the house wednesday and look at the RS that we have and make the same thing for the bedroom. I have chosen this fabric ( ballad bouques )for the bedroom. Now the room has been painted a different color from the shots up above.

I just wanted to say those in your kitchen and dining room are lovely! I have always loved the waverly fabric - will be very pretty in your bedroom.
