Lowe's Art Deco tiles

Hey has anyone used these tiles in their bathroom and if so can you please post a photo? I love the tiles and brought them but not really sure what color to use on the wall. I would love to see your ideas. The color is a little off, the petals that look kind of black (on my computer anyway) is actually a green marble coloring.

Thanks!

They are very pretty and while I've never seen them I'd match the background rather than one of the colors. Or, if the background is as peachy as it appears on my monitor, maybe go with a cream?

I am sorry for the poor represenatation of the colors. The colors are tan background, green marble petals, light brown flower and dark brown petals on the outside. hmmmm that was had to explain.

See link below, scroll down to someone's picture of their kitchen tile. The colors are warm & rich like yours and they have used a cream background. It looks very nice.

Here is a link that might be useful: Green Paint in LR thread

The tile is very pretty. I used a few accent tiles in my guest bath shower:

Terriks, I just love your guest bath shower and I love how you added the few accent tiles that really ads to the look.

I agree with whenicit, that the tiles are pretty and will look nice with the background matched to the walls.

Okay I forgot to add something else VERY IMPORTANT. LOL I am really getting old. I did not buy the tiles to go all over the bathroom wall. I am copying the display in Lowes where they used the 4-4x4 tiles with the diamond cut out the center and this tile goes in the center. The surrounding tile is a cream color. It is the same effect as terrik except my background is light and my surroundng tiles are smaller. I guess the question really was considering the light tiles and the rich accent tiles what color would look good on the wall and if anyone has a photo using this tile I would really love to see it. My mond races so fast I sometimes miss the point when typing.
So here is the plan so far:
    The tile sits in here:

At the top the border I liked is

and under that border I had an accent of:

Still need help with the wall color. The toilet, sink, vanity and toilet are all off white. I need color somewhere in this bathroom. I hope someon out there has used this tile and can post photos...

Do you have a picture of your bathroom so we can see what the color is of the trim, doors, vanity, sink, bathtub and/or shower stall?

LOL...I am working with a blank slate!

{{!gwi}} the tile I got for the floor is a light brown or tan

Now I have a favor to ask. Please post some inspiration bathrooms that you really like so we will have an idea what you like since there is nothing to work with. :)

I feel the off-white sinks, toilet, tub, etc. would look wonderful with that tile you have that is a cream color with a little bit of an accent color with the art deco tiles you found. Maybe you can paint the walls to match the cream in the tile and add towels, rug and accessories to pick up color from the inspiration art deco tile.

I agree with Lynn. I think the background color of you tiles will work for the walls.

here are photos of my bathroom with the vanity and the shower stall. The tub enclosure area is immediately to the right of the window and the toilet is facing the window. The bathroom is the smallest ever. In fact the bathroom is so small I am thinking of putting in clear frameless shower doors. Like I said I am going to put down a light brown floor. Yeah I know my vanity is a cheap one. I have to use what I can afford. I have so many things to buy I am getting killed here. I am thinking of painting the vanity but not quite sure what color to paint it. What about black? And changing those chitzy white knobs.

Oh and by the way the light fixture is one I found at the restore. It does not match my faucets I know but then I got a towel rack that is silver and gold tomes to tie them together.

I like the idea of painting the walls to match the background of the tiles. I really wish I could do a glaze sponging technique on the walls *but* I don't know how to do it without it looking like a home craft. I hate when I go to someones house and they show me all the projects they learned on TV and basically they have messed up the house. (I really want to say f'd up the house but I will be nice. LOL)

I forgot to add that even though the flash makes the room outside the bathroom to be blue it is not it is actually my mudroom and is going to be a gold color with white trim.

msjay2u, if you are looking for color, the color on the wall of that beautiful picture with the two beautiful buffet lamps would look great in your bathroom in my opinion.
