If this was a professional job -it's bad. The tile job around the kitchen window is bad. Maybe you don't usually line up the grout lines on the wall tile to the floor tile but it looks odd to me (#782).

Did a pro do this? The tile layout is very bad. It doesn't look like there was any advance planning at all. It's always bad to have such a skinny tile, especially in such a visible space (I'm referencing the backsplash especially). I would have either centered a full tile, then cut the tiles and below at an equal size, or put an accent strip somewhere in the design.

Hi, the tiling job is in a brand new house, done by a sub-contractor of our builder. We didnt really have a choice but trusted our building to select someone who does good work. The other subs he hired seemed to do great work, and the floor looked good so I guess we assumed he knew how to do backsplash for kitchen & bath... We talked to the builder & sub - today, he started to rip down the tile, all the while destroying our brand new sheetrock.. We had to basically tell him how to re-do it, explain step by step. cross your fingers!
