I love plates displayed but I think they look so pretty when they are different .
I would be very hesitant with all alike. It might look
like a set table on a wall.

I really like the plate in the picture you posted.
What is the plate's diameter?

If you could take a picture of a mock up (on the floor or on a table) of your mirror with the plates around it, that would help us visualize how they look together. To me, it would depend on the size of the mirror and the size of the plates and how they relate together.

Also, take a picture of the wall space where you are thinking of displaying them. A photo of paper mock ups taped onto the wall space would help in visualizing this, too.

The plate is 8.5 diameter. Here is the mock up. The mirror is a bit off center, we need to adjust, but this helps. Thanks for your help.

Consider rotating each plate so that it has a different aspect from its mates. Try it -- get six plate holders and give it a whirl [pun intended].

Have you got some more orange in this room? And more gold?

Pretty plates, but I think I would also prefer some variation. These aren't displayed on the wall, but beautiful display using different plates/designs.

I think the plates would have more impact if you found a long narrow wall for them to be hung in a row.

I was going to suggest exactly what Florantha suggested...rotate each plate in a different way. OR find other plates with similar colors.
