My bathroom mockup. Stumped on faucet finish

I ran out of paint for my craft room dresser. Until I get more I am trying to work out a problem with my bathroom vision. I could see it perfectly until my husband asked me about the faucets!

I am thinking of a gold on gold bath with the two blue and white sinks as focal point. I already have the sinks. The vanity and twin mirrors will be walnut. Counter will be gloss black because I love blue & white and black.

My vision: I am considering this shower curtain (BBB). I would color match my paint for the walls and ~maybe~ even glaze them in a metallic, maybe. Yet-to-be-determined tile will be golden as well. (Mock up shows shower curtain, color matched gold colored paint, and counter)

The faucet finish is totally stumping me. I need to purchase the curtain soon so I can match paint, but I don't want to go through with all that only to find out that no faucet finish works. Bronze against walnut doesn't seem right, bronze on black counters feels a little wierd to me too. Chrome and gold is ill. Brass? Brass on gold walls is... I don't know. Husband looked at my problem and thinks bright brass.

Bonus question: What finish sconces?

I would do gold colored / brass faucets and scounces. Nice sink.

I'd do a pewter finish for the metals. Anything in the gold family is going to compete with the tans you already have.

    Love that sink.

Nickel Faucets with ebony handles (Devon&Devon) as for scones why not a chandelier? Black/ebony with crystals. It ties in with the counter being black and the faucets shine?
    Just an idea

Thanks guys for your input. 3 different suggestions, that is about what I am doing with it, going bacckkkk and forthhh.

Simpletaste- I had planned to use one of my vintage crystal chandies in there, but when I saw the boxes up for the sconces I realized that a chandy wouldn't be the best lighting plan. :( I am a girl that thinks that EVERY room is better with a chandy!

My parents master had pewter and blue porcelain sconces and chandelier. (I think it was based on Williamsburg something) I think pewter or brushed nickel-- which are warm grays-- would pick up the gold tone with out directly competing with it.

If your DH is wanting brass, I could actually see it working IF you use "old" (NOT antique) solid real brass, like something nautical or from the 19th c. Trying to remember what companies make that--it won't be inexpensive--but I'll try to look around for it. Would pick up the historical overtones in the design of the sink, too, and be very graceful/stately/serene.

The only thing against brass would be if you do a gold paint *and* curtain. NO on that, IMO. You'd absolutely need something to balance it out, then, provide some harmony so that not everything is singing on the exact same note, iykwim.

If you want to do an aged brass, a pewter on the walls would be really fabulous. If you want to do gold on the walls, then go with a pewter/nickel finish. IMO. The pewter/nickel will speak to the black countertop.

I do like that faucet. Here is what I was reminded of

Palimpsest, is that a brass or a silver metal (pewter, nickel etc.) on the chandelier? I can't tell. Can you link to where you found it? If it is the aged brass, that would be so perfect with that faucet and the sink -- wow. (although I wasn't necessarily thinking of that particular [although very appropriate] faucet, just the color finish of brass that I see in there, similar to the "bringing brass back" thread of a few weeks ago [that wasn't the real name, but ykwim :) ])

I would go with satin nickel, it's very pale.

Its pewter. Brushed nickel would give the same effect IMO

    The chandelier is by Holtkotter

Husband wants what I want, but he said brass after I begged him for advice. You can see how desperate I am LOL! I am actually looking for something less expensive as this is a short term residence in a market that heavily favors "affordable" homes. AHH, but that is lovely! Maybe the next house (seems to be my motto) :D

I had never really considered nickle. I did some browsing and now I am really confused!

Ok, did another mockup. Found a faucet that had all of the finishes so they can be compared. Is the brass too bright? Along the bottom starting at the left, brass, nickle, bronze, and antique brass. I don't know what those two are at the top. I was looking for a good comparison pic and forgot to erase those two.

Beautiful sink. Blue delft is so pretty. I'd be considering a light French Gold, warm nickel (brushed or polished), or this Tumbled Bronze color (link). The TB might be a new color coming out. Availability looks limited right now on a google.

Have you thought about a wall mount? I love those bamboo fillers, but not sure with your sink. Is your styling going to be somewhat contemporary or a bit traditional?

Here's a French Gold wall mount with porcelain handles:

These Kohler's seem to come in all their finishes, including nickels.

Not sure but these are intriguing. The disks come in a variety of colors.

Thanks TGD for the suggestions. (I have been away from the computer)

I am thinking I actually like the antique brass. (Can't believe I am saying that!) It may not be in style, but I would rather have something that works well with the space I am planning.

Thank you to everyone with the advice! You guys put the sanity back into decorating decisions.
