Not exactly. Shortly after we moved in and for about 6 months there were lights turning on in one bedroom almost every day (the spare bedroom) We used this bedroom the first month after we moved in and the lights didn't start turning on until we moved into the other bedroom. In fact one day when I was in the room changing the bedding, the light turned on several times. Each time I would have my back to it when it came on and each time I would turn it off. Finally I said out loud "I don't care how often you turn the light on, I am ignoring you" The light didn't come back on. My DH just saw a shadow last week when he got up to use the bathroom during the night. But when he turned... nothing there. When we bought our home we asked the PO if it was haunted. His reply was "I have always felt it was a friendly house" Afterthought tells me he wasn't telling all.... But for the most part I agree. It does feel friendly. Oh, yes. On accasion the wooden platform rocker in the sitting room will start rocking. My DIL saw it once and I assured her that it was the train going by several blocks away. (It happens when there are no trains!) We are careful what we say, because if our children, one in particular, knew of some of these happenings they would never visit. We actually think it is kind of special and really don't mind.

Your little old lady does sound as though she is "friendly". What other things have you had happen? Sounds interesting.
