Hi Catherine, Ellis here. This home was what I call an 'extreme remodel' designed back in the early 1990's. It was originally an ordinary one-story ranch-house on a beautiful lot. We retained the original foundation, expanded it by about 1/3 and rebuilt it as a 2-story home. The style is intended to evoke the feeling of a traditional French Country Estate. Ellis A. Not exactly, it has aged from it original light brown.
