Yes a skilled tile setter can deal with the two different thicknesses w/o issue. Many decos, be it glass or something else, are not as thick as the tile it is paired with. So what you are wanting is pretty common and definitely doable.

Will they charge extra is hard to say. Sure sounds like a lovely combo.

My glass tiles were about 1/8" thinner than my travertine bricks. I put up hardibacker strips with thinset and brads where the glass tiles were going to be, then set my glass tiles. Everything is the same height now :-).

You really have to show your tilesetter a sample of these tiles to get a reliable answer. I have used precisely those MoP tiles in glass mosaic work, and they were really hard to get even. They are much thinner than glass (or travertine), and the edges seemed even thinner than the centers. Also, they are MUCH harder to cut than glass or stone tiles. For mosaic work, we only use them whole.
