Loved having a pull out trash can in my previous home and want not one, but two of them in the kitchen of my dream house (it exists only in my mind at this point). We recycle more now and I want more compartments for those items and also because we seem to fill up the kitchen trash very quickly and having two would provide better capacity.

I think we're spending all this money and redesigning plan after plan just so we can have our trash in a cabinet instead of in the way all the time! :-)
Everyone in my house complains about the trash, but part of it is just not having a spot that's both out of the way and convenient too. I'm more excited about the pull out trash than about finally getting a dishwasher!

Ours is a revashelf insert. We ordered the cabinet with the door unattached and the insert separately. Our GC installed it according to the directions. Net savings over the cabinet company's pullout: $250.

we have the pullout trash and I am almost shocked at how much I LOVE THIS THING. I LOVE IT.

It is one of the things in our kitchen that I find myself unexpectedly LOOOOOOOOOOOVING!

I also have the revashelf pull out trash. I picked mine up at the big box store. I have seen one that has a space behind the trash can to store your trash bag container.

We installed a regualar cabinet door that opens, instead of having the attached door with the handle that pulls it out, I have seen these wear out and come off.

Are those electrical outlets above the garbage pullout? How did you modify the upper drawer so that it would accommodate the outlets and so that the drawer front would slide back and then over the outlets like that? Fantastic idea.

I also had the idea of putting a shredder on the garbage container in the back of the pullout cabinet so that I could use it for paper to be recycled, which would necessitate an outlet inside the trash cabinet as well. Is there room inside the cabinet to accommodate that?
