Picture of my pole in my home office- should be white but is not

OK, I did not clean up (ignore boxes of files that still must be filed that are on the floor, kitchen chair next to the pole since I am not done the wood floor in the other room, papers in in basket that were dumped from drawers when moving file cabinets, white plastic step ladder that I should have moved that was there to get on top of the file cabinets.... next pictures will be a finished clean home office & family room) but here is the pole that I find to have enough shine but is not white enough and the trim is not shiny enough to me. The wall color is BM Bone White in the Pearl Finish that I love a lot. I should have cleaned up first before snapping the picture but I feel immobilized today and must get moving on decisions and deadlines and picking up my allergy medicine that I ran out of since I am allergic to ragweed.

Also I should have closed the top of the file cabinet drawers that I had opened since I as putting Staples Paper away.

I have not installed my paint program yet (I lost everything on my hard drive on 6-15-09 when my computer crashed so this is a new hard drive) so I am not good at using the software that comes with Microsoft Windows XP.

It looks fine to me. I think the wall color looks good with your file cabinets - I know you were worried about that. So does the trim. Can't wait to see some better pics of your new floor!

susanjn, the question was in another post so I thought I would start a new post to have a title that indicates that a picture is finally being sent of the support pole I keep mentioning. I wanted to know if the pole needed another coat of paint since to me it does not look white like it should being that it was painted the same white as the trim.

The painter wrote me back and told me he will do a brighter white on the pole and see if it covers the grayish color so my pole will look white when he comes back from vacation and then will finish my floor since he also does floors and I do not want the former flooring guy to finish my floor knowing he was leaving too much space between the boards and not making me happy.

Thanks ajsmama for your post. I really like how the filing cabinets look with the wall color and I like that I now do not see gray in the back wall like I did with the Linen White color that was lemon in the front of the room and gray in the back of the room as it reflected off the cabinet color. I was very worried about the paint color but it turned out better than expected. I am starting to like the soft white on the trim but want the pole to have another coat of paint and to make sure it looks white.

I can't wait to post pictures when my floor is done which appears to be next Saturday if all goes well. I wish the new floor guy would finish the floor in the next few days but I guess he is busy.
