I would think the bronze with the amber shades would be wonderful given the wall color. It would be a nice accent and have a rich yet modern appeal.

See I'm afraid to go with the bronze because it's so dark. I'm also a little nervous about the brushed nickel in my living room.

Well, what is your goal with the track lighting? Are you using it as a decorative fixture, in the same way you might use a ceiling pendant or chandelier? Or are you wanting it to disappear and just have a source of light?

If you were putting in a chandelier or a pendant, would you pick white or silver or bronze? If you are thinking of the lighting as an accessory and decorative, use that as your guide.

I say go with the color. I had a similar problem in my den. I had a white ceiling fan but wanted ORB. I was afraid it would stand out to much but I actually love it.
It's a focal point. In your case it would be like those beautiful pendant lights people have in their kitchens.
