KitchenAid mixer model advise - the rest of the story

Last week I posted and asked what model of KA mixer some of you have. I have an Artisan and was trying to decide whether or not to move up to a bigger model. After reading the responses I had pretty much decided to ask Santa for a Pro 600 model mixer. I saw an ad on my local Craiglist for a brand new, never used KA HD model mixer, which is basically the same as the old Pro 500 model. It has the same horsepower as the Pro 600, but has a 5 qt bowl instead of a 6 qt bowl. The HD model mixer is sold at Costco and Sam's Clubs.

Anyway, this mixer was such a good deal that I couldn't pass it up. For $175.00 I got a brand new mixer that was bought one year ago but had never even been opened. I am thrilled, and have just made my first batch of sourdough bread dough in it. Tomorrow I will be trying it out on pound cakes and pumpkin pecan muffins. Thanks to everyone who responded to my other thread, it helped me to decide to take the plunge.

Sorry. I couldn't edit my thread topic after I posted it, and I have a thing about misspellings!

With a deal like that, who cares about spelling?
