Wedgewood Gray pic I see green , do you? Color help needed??

How come my BM paint colors look green, everyone says it's a beautiful blue color. I don't know if it's a good choice or not, I'm trying to match the quilt, any other paint color suggestions for me? The small sample looks bluer doesn't it??

On my monitor it looks more blue. Pretty!

A pretty blue to me also~~I don't see any green. ;o)

Blue for me too. The chip seems a bit darker, but that could be the finish. Chips are flat. What finish is our paint?

    I still see blue.

Does it look green to you with your light on? Do you have daylight bulb? I have silver sage in my computer room. The room looks blue during the day, but more green at night when we turn the lights on (not daylight bulb so give a yellow cast. blue + yellow = green).

I see true blue also. I don't know which blue is which now...but the one on the right closest to your fabric looks awesome on my monitor. Really pretty combo!

I have Wedgewood Gray in my piano room---it's definitely a grayish blue and it's beautiful and calming.
Other beautiful blues are BM Van Courtland Blue, and BM Nimbus Gray.

    Picture 1 is Nimbus Gray.
Pictures 2 and 3 are Wedgewood Gray.
Picture 4 in the hallway is Van Courtland Blue and in the room is Wedgewood Gray (taken on a cloudy day so not a great pic).
Picture 5 is Van Courtland Blue.

Going to get samples of SW Tradewind or Rain to compare.
Looking for a light aqua color, even though the "matched coverlet color " falls into the Quietude zone, without light in my tub area everything seems green, so I'm going to sample some light blues to compare. I really don't like when the sw"interesting aqua" feel.

I have Wedgewood Gray in my master bath. In low light, I can see some green. Quietude seems much more green than the Wedgewood Gray. FWIW, I don't see any green on my monitor in your pictures. I think that Rain might be a bit more blue.

Tradewind is what we have in our guest bath and it does lean more towards what you say your looking for. We sampled several colors in that color family, if I recall correctly, rain wasn't as aqua looking to us; it had more of a gray undertone to it. If you sample Tradewind be sure to let it fully dry before discounting it. When we painted our room, I was concerned it was too dark, but once the color finished curing it was exactly what I had been looking for. Here's the sample pic I have of it.

I have always been uncomfortable with blues, too. But the walls I inherited are Nantucket fog and they are ok. I lightened the color with white for one room, but I'm ok with this same basic color in all the downstairs rooms except hall and family room.
I went through the blue exercise that you're going through because I wanted a different shade in the family room, but I gave up and painted it tan. Even the taupes and tans were going green in the family room. It is a room with a single north-facing window. Perhaps you should experiment with a gray that goes blue or maybe give up and go light olive green?

I'm going to try BM Soft Chinchella first and Tradewind next, this might be the gray that goes blue for me.

I painted my son's room Wedgewood - first time I've ever done any blue in my life and it was not easy. What I love about it is that it's a complex color. I knew a simple blue would never work and would look, well, simple!

I love the Wedgewood with your fabric in the pics you show. You want your wall color to *work* with your fabric, not match it exactly, which creates a room with less depth and interest, IMO. The fabric should be the star, the paint should support it.

I sampled Wedgewood Gray for my DS's room recently. It is a beautiful color; though in the end not right for his room. I'm hoping I can use it somewhere, though; perhaps in my hall bath. What I found when testing the bluish-greenish-gray colors is that I needed to evaluate them individually and not in comparision to other similar colors as depending on what it was next to, it could have a more greenish or bluish hue. I also sampled Paladian BLue and BM Smoke, and Revere Pewter (my final choice). I must say I love your fabric choice and the Wedgewood Gray looks lovely along side of it. Where did you get your fabric BTW?

Tradewind is on the left, who would ever think it would be so bright and blue. My own mixed version of Gossemer Blue the store sample on the right, which I'm considering, is also painted on the right.
I do know the fabric strip matches Stratton Blue, painted up Quiettude, did not like it. Wedgewood Gray small sample is hanging at top left, still not in the running! Would I like a lighter version of it??
I'm heading to Benjamin Moore store, half hour away, with my fabric. My paint samples have all been matched at Menards, I've even questioned the formulas, but when they dry on the sample they are 98% right on!! Wish me luck!!

Have you looked at BM Wythe Blue?

Well, I thought I was in love, then I decided I wanted about 25% of this color and hubby cringed at the thought of any of my board colors. ME TOO!!
Olive Branch matches fabric, but looks awful too, very dark and muddy.
I learned alot about painting colors in an area without natural light, I think I'll just brighten up my Revere Pewter, with a soft creme color, thank you for your help.

So, why not try the 25% before giving up on the blue? I defintely understand your hesitancy on the blue. I've had blue samples spread all over my office. I think I know which one I want, but I'm afraid to commit to it.

I'm finding a new challenge in our new house that does not get a lot of natural light. In the old house, every paint color I chose looked exactly the way I expected it to when I put it up on the wall. But in the new house, it seems none of them do.

Wow, SW Tradewind DID NOT do that in our bathroom. In the photo I posted it looks a little bright, but in person it's very calming and not too blue at all. Maybe it's the lighting.

How's your bedroom makeover going? Did you pick a paint color yet?

I love that material! Can you tell me where you found it? I am re-doing our guest bedroom and that would be perfect!

Did you decide on a color?

mary lu - I think it's this quilt from overstock.

My newest sample is Rhine River, I lightened it up but the color really changes. I don't know what to do , so it remains a safe color, Revere Pewter. Thanks for thinking about me.
Yes I did purchase the quilt from Overstock and it fits our king bed very nice.
