marble backsplash: beveled or flat? 2x4 or 3x6?

Yes, backsplash help. With all the myriad decisions to make, why is it that this one seems to be the hardest??? Maybe because its one of the final ones???

Anway, we are in the home stretches (we hope, ran into structural problems/contractor issues) of a kitchen and 2 bath remodel. Have had to make lots of decisions quickly, sometime without seeing things in person. After long flirtation with superwhite glass tile/stick tile mosaic, I'm leaning toward more classic carrara subway tile backsplash to go with white shaker cabs and blue pearl granite. But so many choices!! I am looking at 2x4 as well as 3x6. We don't have a large kitchen (10 x12)--would smaller tile be more appropriate for a small kitchen? And is beveled too busy? Thoughts or pictures or suggestions welcome!

Hi. We finally put in the 2x4 beveled and LOVE it!

I prefer flat over beveled, especially with a patterned tile. I was always under the assumption that bigger tiles (floor tiles, anyway) makes a room look bigger. I'm not sure about backsplash tiles.
Post some pics of your kitchen (or cabinets, countertops & floor) with some tile samples. You'll get more responses when pictures are involved.

I prefer flat, it is visually less busy, and easier to clean. But it really depends on your aesthetic!
