Save me from this sea of beige!

Hi, I've been reading this forum for weeks looking for the perfect shade of blue/gray to go in our master bath. I have followed some of the suggestions and picked up paint chips of BM Wythe Blue/Palliadian Blue, Healing Aloe, Woodlwan blue, wedgewood gray...you get the point. I have a fistful of paint chips. We are leaning towards wedgewood gray or woodlawn blue. (Our master bedroom is painted SW Accesible Beige with a SW Bracing blue accent wall. I don't like the Bracing Blue and plan to paint it after I get the bathroom done.)

My question is....with the tile we have, would I lighter color like the WB be too much of a contrast? This room gets only western light.

Find a color beige that you find in your tile or your floor tile that is about the intensity that you'd like to match, thempn go to the blue tones on the same arc of the color wheel...say the beige is 2 steps down from the lightest color, so go to the blues 2steps down from the lightest color....all those colors on that step will blend, so chose your color from there and you'll be fine.

Annie, thank you....that's a good idea. I have a SW fandeck I could do that with. Can I buy a BM fandeck, or is that only for professionals?

Teacats, thank you for the link.

You can buy one or you could just go to the B.M. store and choose the sample strips with the five squares of color on them.

It really is a sea of beige, isn't it? LOL. No, really...I am completely open to any other suggestions besides the blue/gray.

I really appreciate any help you gals/guys can give me....

Or rather than go blindly at another color, you do have some wall space there. Why not find a piece of wall art with other colors in it and go with that. My guest bath was very off white and neutral with a brownish glass tile accent so nothing outstanding. The walls were BM Kahlua and cream.

I had a card as a souvenir print from Lake Louise. The granite was similar to the mountain on the left. Suddenly I had wonderful teals and lavender and poppy colors to work with to bring the room together.

This was the print that inspired the room.

It's amazing how much easier it is to pull a room together once you have an anchor. And if you do it with art, you have a professional artist helping you pick your colors. How cool is that!

What a nice bathroom. I for one can't have too much biege. It is a calming feel in a bathroom.
If you were to go with a completely different color than you would have to bring in that color in accessories and as suggested art work.

Pretty bathroom. Why not just add color with towels and other accessories? Maybe even pretty window panels above the tub...

Thank you for the great suggestions. I think I will try some accessories and artwork before I spend a lot time and energy painting this room. Its not a big room, but all the cutting in is a little overwhelming just thinking about it.
