More information would help: what kind of sink is it? Stainless? What color counter top? etc. Not enough info here to really help.

I asked about this a couple months ago when we started our kitchen. My designer told me I needed to have everything (hardware and faucet) match. I rebeled and after seeing so many beautiful kitchens on this site that didn't follow that rule I decided to go w/ what I wanted. I have oil rubbed bronze hardware w/ a stainless steel (brushed nickel) faucet. I think it looks really great. I'm going to post some pics on here soon. As I was advised...go with what you love/want. =)

sippy south, you're right. All that matchy matchy can get to be too much when you have a lot of knobs, pulls, faucets, light fixtures, etc. You did the right thing.

The cabinets are alpine white (Brookhaven), which is kind of an off-white, but not overly warm. The backsplash will be tumbled marble, and we haven't chosen the granite yet but I am thinking a green/grey color. Sink is white exposed apron or farmhouse sink.
