screened porch questions

We're building a screened porch with attached deck, and I have three main questions that I hope someone can help me think through.

First, any pros & cons of using a screen installation product called "Screen Tight" that Home Depot, Lowes, etc. carries? Supposedly it makes installation and replacement of damaged screens a lot easier, and keeps the screens at a better tension as well.

Second, we want a rustic, national park "lodge" feel to the porch. So am considering a darker cherry-type stain on our tongue & groove pine ceiling -- and would probably stain the deck similar. The porch floor is slate, mostly dark gray with some deep red & tan hi-lites. Any thoughts on how darker stains weather thru the years, and whether they might make the porch "too dark"? We want a deep, rich tone to the porch but don't want it depressing either!

Third, the big-box home improvement stores sell mostly Behr exterior wood stains -- any suggestions on using Behr versus other stains?

By the way, the porch & deck are in the back of our house which is in full sunlight all afternoon. We live in the Southeast.

Many thanks!
