does anyone have cream cabinets with oil rubbed bronze hardware

and stainless sink and faucet? I have stainless appliances and am leaning toward oil rubbed bronze but is it okay to go with a stainless sink and faucet?

I do - well, almost. My hardware is ORB, my perimeter cabinets are painted light (not white, not beige, kind of in between), the fridge and DW are panelled, only the micro, the range and sink will be SS and the faucet will be brushed nickel.

My island and pantry armoire are stained dark chocolate.

No photos yet, but so far it looks great.

I do, and I'm really happy with how everything looks...

We have cream painted cabinets with ORB hardware. I like the look very much.

Funny, I'm considering the same thing, but in our Master Bathroom. We have chrome plumbing fixtures and the cabinets are creamy with a dark glaze (not quite as distressed as sherilynn above) and I think the chrome knobs and pull samples I bought look terrible. So, after seeing the pics above I'm feeling better about getting ORB knobs and pulls and having shiny chrome faucets everywhere!

whippiechick, where did you get your bin pulls? I need 3" center to center size. You all have beautiful kitchens. It sounds like it is okay to do both finishes! Thanks for your help.

I think you've just given me a light bulb moment. I have very creamy (bordering on yellow) cabinets with rust glaze. I have rust colored cabinet hardware and thought I should go with a dark colored faucet to keep with the rustic theme. But, ya know, I went with stainless appliances (cause I did not like anything else), and I think it would be okay to have a satin nickel type color for faucet, soap dispeser, etc. I will have a Shaw white farmhouse sink. I think that will work. Sorry I can't show you pics, but I like the idea and I think it would be fine for you especially with stainless sink. Good Luck!

sherilynn - can you tell me what brand your sink is and where you got it? It's exactly what I've been looking for.

Our bin pulls came from Berenson. The ones we originally selected were a totally different finish from the samples. So it took us a little while to locate these. They are very nice and heavyweight. Hope this link will work for you.

Sherilynn - Love your backsplash everytime I see it!!

I have cream cabs with an English bronze look-sort of more copper in color than orb.

    stiles,

What kind of white marble is that? Are your cabs custom painted? If so what brand/color? Also, could I see a closeup of your hardware? Are those part of the Tuscany Collection from Top Knobs? I also like the other row of different subway tiles on the bottom (gray??). Love the look! Are you finished? I couldn't find you in the FKB. More pics! More pics!

    Hi Amberley,

Thanks for the compliment! My marble is Calacutta Vagli and my cabinets are from Quality Custom Cabinetry. The color was chosen in the shop I ordered it from, but my contractor made so many nicks in the cabs after they were installed that we went through 2 more coats of paint and I am not sure of the color they used. I should ask. They were trying to match the original color.

Yes, the hardward is from Top Knobs Tuscany collection-good eye! I have a pallete of cream and grey/blue with copper accents going on in the kitchen.

If you look up Stiles at the bottom of the page you will see a thread where you can see some of my pics on photoshop.

I will try to get you a close-up of the knobs soon.

Are you in the middle or just beginning your remodel? Have fun!

I decided to go with the oil rubbed bronze and ordered from ebay and they are really dark. Are some oil rubbed bronzes a lighter brown than others?

I did ORB on cream cabs but went with an ORB faucet and a white sink. I like the contrast.

This is the baking center in my pantry.

This one has a little more of the hardware and a little less of the distracting elements.

OH my imrainey just how sweet that looks!!!

Thanks. But the real joy is that the counter height is at kneading/rolling height and all of the baking moves out of the kitchen proper. It's one of the best things we did.

We lost our old laundry to make it but we put that in a walk-in bedroom closet by moving the doorway to open to the hallway.
