My3dogs, please tell me the name and manufacturer of your dining room rug. It would be absolutely perfect for me with the blues, browns, and oranges

Ah, my beautiful eBay bargain! It's Couristan, Woven Treasures, #0068 color 0313, which is the mocha/ivory. It also comes in a blue colorway called Powder Blue/Ivory.

I had just papered my dining room in the Thibaut 'Hunterdon' wallpaper, and was looking for a rug. I saw this on eBay, brand new, the largest size, and got it for a bit over $400. It was PERFECT with that paper, and you may know that painted the adjoining entry is painted in Wythe Blue, which is fantastic with that paper.

It's more muted than the online pics show - this is what it looks like in my DR.

My3 -- is it handknotted or tufted? Any shedding? That colorway would be absolutely perfect for my blue-green, cream, and brown (with orange accents) color scheme. I love that type of pattern too--kind of Arabic/North African looking and not so busy, with alot of open spaces between the designs.

I'm off to search for it online now!

Can I hire you to find me treasures for my home.. please!!
You really have a talent not just for decorating but for getting great bargains :)

Darn! My3 your rug is going for over $1,000 in the sites I've seen so far. Interestingly, it is a machine made rug with some nylon in the weave. I would think that would be somewhat cheaper?

It's only 15% nylon. Absolutely no shedding whatsoever. After I bought it, imagine my surprise to see it in full page ads in magazines like Traditional Home.

Yes, I got a huge bargain, and I only found out how huge after it arrived and I saw the name, etc and could research it. I wouldn't call the accent color orange - it's a terra cotta color. I was and continue to be thrilled with it.

My3-- can you re-post your Wythe Blue pics? I can't seem to find them anymore. Thanks!

I only have a few pis of that, as I took them to show the door I had stripped and stained, not the wall color. But while looking for the entry pics, here is a close-up of the rug with the wall paper. You can see the red tone of the 'accent color' in this.

In this one you see the Wythe Blue chip with the blue of the wall paper. Those other chips are some of the colors in my house - the rug and wall paper brought them all together in that one room.

Wythe Blue in the adjoining entry. The DR is that doorway to the right in this shot.

    Thanks My3--

Can you show the other pics of that runner going up the stairs with the Wythe Blue walls?

Last one, Kiddo! I'm in the middle of making window treatments for someone and have men in my LR installing some crown molding. It's a bit crazy here. The Wythe looks very different here under artificial light.

You don't see much of it in this pic, but the Karastan Ashara Agra runner has blue in it that goes beautifully with the blue paint.

Thanks a bunch! That's a beautiful runner. I am not really much of a red person (at least not lately), but there's something about that vibrant red/rust used in lots of orientals that is so beautiful. This looks like a totally different paint color here. My bedroom is painted SW Quietude, which is very very similar to Wythe Blue, and it tends to photograph like your stairwell-mostly light blue without much green.

I can't believe it, but today I found My3's rug for $399.99 in the 8x10 size at Tuesday Morning. Only problem was it was the green colorway. I am going to go to the other T. Morning's in the area tomorrow to see if any of them might happen to have the chocolate one like My3. I was so amazed when I found the rug!

jockewing - you never said - how did the other rug go?

Sorry coleen. Unfortunately, I have been quite preoccupied the last 2 weeks. My grandmother had a stroke and passed away a few days later. I have been so busy with all that and the funeral services, and now dealing with wrapping up the estate.

I did receive the rug and I think it is of high quality. If you scrape the rug with your nails it does shed a bit, but just walking across it I don't see much of a shedding problem at all. I'm not sure if the shade of blue is exactly right, but I had so many other things on my mind.

jockewing - I'm very sorry about your grandmother. My condolences.

Re: the rug - I haven't had any issues with shedding, but it doesn't get a lot of traffic since it's under the dining room table. I wasn't sure based on your description of your sofa that the color would be right. Hope you find my3dogs rug and it works for you!
