I found decorative individual plate hangers at a home decor shop. I also have placed three plates on a runner. It was kind of tricky to do. I used the inexpensive wire plate hangers you can get at the hardware store. I hung the plates on a nail that I inserted into the runner.

I recently used the new sticky type pads you place on the back of plates and adhere to the wall; they really look good and you don't see the 'hooks' that you see on the metal wall plate hangers.

I bought them at A C Moore--worked well and looks good.

Anything sticky will probably fall off at some point (years) so I would be careful with those.

I'm a hopeless plate collector so have several walls of plate rails as well as a 4 plate iron hanger, several single iron wall holders, and many wire/spring types. Some of my plates have holes thru which wire can be looped. I also use the tabletop plate holders. I have to rotate plates or my fetish would be too apparent!
